Chapter 484 We Might Die

They sat in the ward until Henry woke up after the anesthesia wore off. The moment he saw Zachary, guilt appeared on his face.

Working with Joey had made him complacent enough that he underestimated the lurking danger. He paid with his eye for his recklessness.

Standing by the window, Zachary eyed Henry coldly. "Don't say anything. Just reflect upon yourself."

Joey slapped Zachary and returned to Henry. Eagerly, she asked, "Do you need some water?"

There was no way he would say yes to that question. With Zachary there, he would rather die from pain than stay in the hospital.

"I'm not thirsty," replied Henry as he stole a glance at Zachary.

Ignoring Henry, Zachary asked Joey, "Lawrence will come to look after you. If you're busy, Ms. Linton, you can return to your work. Do you need a more professional security service provider?"

Joey grunted affirmatively. Sitting on the bed and looking at Henry's left eye which was covered in bandages, she felt upset.
