Mehendi is yet another traditional yet exciting pre wedding ceremony. In Indian weddings, a lot of emphasis is given on customs and rituals and the same is reflected in the Mehndi ceremony before marriage .

It is also said that the darker the colour of the Mehendi, the more love the bride will receive at her in-laws and especially from her husband. The longevity of the colour of Mehendi has special significance as well

Nisha's pov

It was 7 in the night. The backyard was set up for the ceremony. Some aunties were gossiping and other girls were simply giggling around.

I was seated on the swing which was decorated with green leaves and flowers for the mehendi ceremony. Two girls started to draw on my hands and leg .

My friends were singing loudly which irritated the hell out of me.

"Guys can you just shut your mouth for a second". I asked glaring at them.

"Nope we won't". Divya said and again continued.

Ahh ! I groaned

"Mumma I am hungry". I said as she passed our way.

"No Nisha you w
