“About her,” Harold said as he looked at Derek. He knew it wasn't the right time to ask what he was about to but he had kept the question buried in him for so long that now that it had resurfaced, it couldn't go unanswered. “Why did you thank me for saving her, Derek?” He paused, “I did absolutely nothing and I can swear that I've never set my eyes on her.”

With wide eyes, Derek looked down at professor Ericson.

Despite the state he was in, a sly grin could be seen on his blood stained mouth.

“I told him you saved her,” professor Ericson said. He coughed afterwards then fell silent.

“Why?” Harold asked. The back of his head was beginning to ache him from all that was going on. There were just too many unanswered questions, world-shattering theories and unspeakable doubts.
