Gianna

I thought I was having a bad day until my life flashed before my eyes. The day started out normal, except for the fact that I was currently trying to carry five bags at once. One with a picnic blanket, and drinks. Another one with sunscreen, towels, moisturizer and other things my sister, Helena, insisted on bringing along even though they weren’t really necessary. One filled with the actual food we were to eat. One filled with extra sets of clothes for Helena to change to if she gets too sweaty. And another filled with fruits just in case Helena didn't have an appetite for the regular meal.

She refused to help me carry any of the bags, and the distance from the car to the spot she picked was too far to go twice. Shifters are naturally stronger than humans so the weight itself wasn’t a real problem, it was the fact that the items were too much. I dropped a few items along the way and had to stop to pick and rearrange them. I took a deep breath when we finally arrived at the spot on the hill. It was actually beautiful, and with a perfect view of the Riverside pack lands.

“Helena, can you help me set the blanket while I arrange the food?” I asked politely and she scoffed.

She turned away from me and began inspecting her nails.

“I just had a manicure. Are you planning to ruin it so my nails will be ugly like yours?” She asked and I shook my head.

“Never mind.”

I don't know why I even bother asking for help when it never comes. My shoulders ached and my fingers, and the pain from my broken nail made my eyes teary, but there was no one to complain to who actually cared.

I was focused on setting up the items for the picnic when I heard a scuffle behind me. I just assumed Helena must have tripped or something, so I was shocked when a hand covered my face from behind me. I tried to struggle, and fight off my attacker.

“Don't even think about it, or I will break your arm.”

The warning wasn't what made me stop struggling though. It was the fact that my attacker wasn't alone. I counted nine in the group. Six in wolf form and the rest in human form.

“Please let us go.”

I tried pleading, but almost got a kick to the stomach. They already had Helena tied up with a gag on her mouth and then did the same to me. One more look at the group and I realised that they were rogues. Loners that have no affiliation with any known pack. They were dangerous and irrational. I wonder what they wanted. If they wanted us dead, we would already be buried six feet under.

They moved us to a different location, and immediately called our parents with Helena’s phone. Mine had been in one of the bags which were still at the picnic site.

“Helena darling, are you there now? Are you enjoying your picnic?”

“Your darling and her sister are under our custody now.” The male with the phone said to our mother.

We could all hear her because the call was on speaker.

“Who are you? What have you done to my daughter?”

“What matters is that if you don’t listen to my demands, I will kill your two daughters.”

“Don’t you dare touch my daughter!” She snapped and there was a commotion in the background.

“What’s wrong?”

“Is Helena okay?”

“What’s going on?”

I could hear our father’s voice and some other relatives in the background.

“Hey! Listen to me. You must pay the sum of 200 million dollars to me before sunset tomorrow or we will send you the corpses of your two daughters. 100 million for each girl. Non negotiable.” The rogue male growled at them so they would listen.

“I will send you 100 million right now if you release Helena to me.” Our father said.

He must have taken the phone from our mother.

“But first we must see proof that Helena was unharmed.”

“Helena isn’t the only one we have captured. Didn’t you hear me? I have your two daughters here.” The rogue male said.

“I only care what happens to Helena. Show me she’s okay, and you’ll receive your 100 million immediately. I want her released as soon as possible.” My father said, and my hands began to shake.

I had to stare blankly at the wall and blink multiple times in order to stop myself from crying. It was of no use. I knew Helena was my parent’s favourite, but I thought that was a normal thing. That's why I never complained no matter the preferential treatment she got, but I never would have imagined they would abandon me at a time like this when I need them.

The money wasn’t the problem. They had enough to bail us both out. Our kidnappers knew that, which is why we both were taken. Else, they wouldn’t have bothered taking two of us. Within minutes everything was settled and Helena was escorted out to be returned to my parents. She didn't even bother looking back to check if I was okay, or try to plead for my own freedom.

“Hey. You have to find a way to get your own share of the money or we’ll have to kill you. I wonder what you did to make your parents despise you. They didn’t even bother to ask if you were unharmed.” Another rogue said to me with a scoff.

“I’ll have to call my mate. I need the phone.”

I was given the phone and I dialled his number.

“Hello Marco. Please, I need your help. I’ve been kidnapped, and they’re demanding a 100 million dollar ransom in order to release me.”

“And why should I spend that amount of money on you?” He asked and I almost dropped the phone out of shock.

“W.what do you mean? I’m your mate.”

“Not anymore. You should never have gone in the first place. I warned you that it was too far from the pack boundary, but you preferred to please your sister instead of listening to me.”

“Marco, wait. Let’s just talk. I’m sorry. I’ll make it up to you. Please don’t,”

“I, Marco DiAngello, Alpha of Riverside pack, reject you, Gianna Marino, as my mate.” He said and disconnected the call immediately.

The phone dropped from my hand and I grabbed my stomach. It felt like someone was stabbing me with nails, then pouring hot coal inside me. It hurt so badly that I collapsed to the ground.

“What the fuck happened here? Weren’t you supposed to be watching her?”

“It’s not my fault. She just got rejected by her mate, and her family refused to pay her ransom. No one wants her back.”

“Then we should just cut our losses and kill her. We’re too close to another pack’s boundary, and if we stay too long we will get caught eventually. I’m not risking my life for her.”

The rogues were talking above me, deciding my death like I didn’t matter. But they’re right. No one wants me. My family and my mate just basically threw me away. I no longer have anything to live for.

“Who’s in there? Show yourself.” A voice called from outside.

“Damn it. We’ve been found by the pack patrols. Let’s move. We already got 100 million. Now we have to stay alive to spend it.” One rogue said and they immediately ran off.

I passed out, and woke up in a white room, surrounded by beeping equipment. I tried to stand up from the bed I was lying on, but a hand stopped me.

“Don’t get up. You’re still weak. My warriors found you in bad shape.” A male said to me and helped me lay back down.

I looked up to see a handsome male smiling at me.

“The moon goddess has shown us favour by returning you to us.” He said as he stroked my hair.

“What are you talking about? Where am I? Who are you?”

“You’re in the blood moon pack. I am Vincenzo Romano, the Alpha of this pack. And you are my long lost sister.”

GIANNA“Where did you hear that whole engagement thing in the first place?” He inquired with an incredulous look on his face.I bit my lip in embarrassment. “From Blaire.” My voice was barely audible as I turned my face.“That delusional skank!” my head shot up immediately as I stared at him in disbelief. Was he perhaps reading my thoughts? Why were his insults so similar to mine? Whatever, that was beside the point.“I always knew that she was a bit attached to me, so I made sure to tell her that our arrangement was a non-committal one. I never expected that she would go off spreading false rumors about our so-called engagement.” He gritted out in anger. “The height of it was telling my baby sis and almost causing a fight between us. I sincerely need to show her how insignificant she is to me.”“There’s no need for that. Although her words are delusional, she didn’t cause any harm so just leave her be. She just slept with you, developed a crush and hoped for something more.” I butte

GIANNAEnzo paused immediately he registered the words I said, and the smile on his face fell slowly. He squinted, a gleam I couldn’t make sense of appearing in his eyes. “What do you mean? Blaire? I’m confused.” Despite showing signs of being affected by the mention of Blaire’s name, he still tried to play it off with a lighthearted tone.I rolled my eyes not having whatever he was trying to do. “Stop acting dumb. You know who I'm talking about.” His face turned even more somber. “Honestly, I don’t want to be involved with who you sleep with or get engaged to, but when it begins to affect my friends, I draw the line. His face scrunched up in utter confusion as he leaned back and away from me totally. “Don’t even think of airing me. If you want to use the right of an Alpha to get me to keep quiet, then I obviously have no choice but to give in. But… if you consider me your sister, you’ll fess up on what is going on between you, Blaire and Nalia. Especially since a betrothal is involv

  • Omega Rejects Her Possessive Alpha   Mid Night

GIANNAAfter crying, Nalia had begged me to not ask her about why she cried or what the deal with her, Blaire and Enzo was.It was quite troubling to do so, but I knew that it was a subject that she didn't want to broach so I just let it be - at least from her end. I was a curious person by nature who couldn't bear to see my loved ones in distress, so I might not interrogate Nalia but that didn't mean Enzo was safe.Someone needed to answer about why my best friend was so heartbroken. If it was something I could solve, I would do it no matter what. The issue was that I had gone to check on Enzo as soon as I came in, only to be informed that he went somewhere. The guard that informed me didn't say anything more than that, and he even looked quite weird when I asked about the actual location.I shrugged. It was probably a classified pack matter. As long as he came back safely, I wouldn't question where he went. He was faring fine without me here and I liked to hope it wouldn't change wi

GIANNAI didn't expect my voice to be so loud as the people around us had stopped to stare at us.“Gianna, it's okay.” Nalia grabbed my hand, worry on her face.Meanwhile Blair's smile waned a bit, and I could see anger swirling in her eyes but she composed herself with a frightening speed and then grinned at me once more.“Yes. I'm sorry about that. I forgot to introduce myself better. I'm Alpha Enzo's soon to be Luna.”Shock zinged through me like a lightening bolt. She was my brother's betrothed? What in the name of all things sane was she on about? Why didn't Enzo tell me that he was engaged? She had to be lying.“Oh shut up with your delusions Blaire!” Nalia snapped, stepping out again. “What do you mean delusions? Everyone here knows that I'm set to be Luna.”I looked around and noticed a peculiar look on everyone's face, but no one was saying anything as they all looked away or pretended to ignore the argument. Was it perhaps true? Goddess! This is giving me a migraine.“Luna

GIANNAI looked at Nalia, but she just had a scowl on her face with a hostile look. It was clear on her face that she didn't like this Omega.Soon, was standing before me. “ Hi, I'm Blaire.”“Umm… Hi?” I was still confused by the sudden friendliness. I stood there awkwardly as I eyed her warily.Yes I admired how she fought, but that doesn't mean I would welcome her with open arms. Especially when Nalia was obviously at odds with her. Nalia is the sweetest person I know. If this female made her hostile, then something really bad must have happened.“You are Gianna. Everyone knows that. I'm a good friend of your… I mean, Alpha Enzo.” I felt Nalia shift beside me.She was a friend of my brother?“What do you think you're doing?” Nalia growled as she stepped in front of me.I was utterly confused as to what was going on.Blaire finally looked at Nalia, her smile morphing into a smirk. I noticed that despite her small wolf form, she seemed to be over Nalia in height.Even with that though

GIANNACheers, growls and extreme pheromones circled all around me as I stared at the scene before me. Two wolves – one a Beta and another, an actual omega with a much smaller size compared to its challenger, circled around each other in preparation to fight as multitudes of people, all largely half naked might I add, surrounded them and cheered them on.If not for the fact that there were no seats, and that it was all on a large clearing of land, I would have assumed that I had stepped into a battle arena of some sort. “What the fuck?” I gaped and stood still, my body unwilling to take another step further. This just reminded me of the scene of Bryant and Marco’s battle.“Welcome to the training grounds.” Nalia piped up from behind me, and I turned to face her, my brows raised as if to tell her to explain quickly. The roars and cheers grew louder behind me, but I didn’t care as I focused all my attention on Nalia.“It’s just like I said. This is the training ground.”I frowned. “The

GIANNAThe speed at which Nalia could change her expression sometimes alarmed me at times, and this was one of those times. It made me even more doubtful as I narrowed my eyes at her and took a few steps back. She chukled good naturedly. “I promise I'm not about to murder you. I’m a bit hurt that you would think that, but I understand in a way.”My nose crinkled.Yeah…. That didn't sound very convincing.“Okay okay, you got me. I brought you to the meetup spot for carnivores.”My heart turned cold and I froze.Alarm bells rang vehemently in my head, and I immediately made to turn and run for my life, but she gripped my arm and held me back with a terrifying strength I never expected such a petite looking girl to possess.Slowly I turned my head back to face her only to do a double take when I noticed her face puffed up with her lips clamped between her teeth. Her shoulder was also shaking slightly making her look like she was about to explode.Despite my fear I couldn't help the conce

GIANNARemembering the expression of embarrassment on Bryant's face when I asked him not to die on our next date, after his attempt to ask me out again in a cool manner, I couldn't help but chuckle. He was just way too cute.Nalia groaned and I looked up only to see that she had walked way ahead of me, and was now looking back at me with a displeased expression, her hands on her hip.“What?” I refused to admit to her that I had fallen behind, because I was thinking about Bryant so I decided to be snarky instead.“Stop acting oblivious. I know your charming Alpha is performing a sexy show in your head right now. And that's why you're lagging behind, walking at a snail’s pace.” “I don't know what you're talking about.” I huffed, turning my head sideways but my heating cheeks betrayed me.“Yeah, yeah. I'm sure you don't. Just hurry up or we'll be late and we'll miss the interesting parts.I faced her and raised a brow, hoping for an explanation on what she was on about, and where she wa

GIANNA“Once we confirm you're okay, I have to take Gia somewhere.”“I'm actually feeling very fine...” Both Nalia and Bryant said at the same time with Bryant trailing off mid sentence. For a while, everything was silent, but he suddenly groaned like he was in pain making my eyes fly to him. He clutched at the wound on his chest, his face contorted in signs of agony. My heart dropped and I hurried over to his side faster than I could imagine my legs would move.“What's wrong? Is it hurting?”I know I sounded stupid by asking an obvious question, but I was just way too panicked and I didn't know what to do with my mind in disarray.“I was fine just this minute but I suddenly feel sore all over.” He said while grinding his teeth.“Maybe. I. If I. Let me.” I couldn't even piece a sentence together with how much I was panicking. My voice was filled with worry, and my hand was trembling as it hovered over his chest while I tried to decide if I should touch him or not.“I'll go get the
