I let out a soft gasp and took in a deep breath when I felt the sharp pain in my stomach for the second time that day. Apart from the cramp in my stomach, it was more difficult trying to keep a straight face and pretending to be fine even when I felt that much pain. I tried to ignore the pain, hoping that it would go away soon. After all that wasn't the first time and the doctor had told me several times that the pain was normal.

It was already nine months into my pregnancy but I was not yet close to the delivery date the doctor had given me.

I was helping out at work in the pack. I had been doing that ever since because Asher had refused to assign another beta after what happened with Nikolai so I had been doing most of the beta work.

And I must confess that it had been an interesting one for me all this while since it gave me a sense of belonging and I no longer felt left out.

Soon, Asher came in with dinner for me. My eyes lit up the moment I saw him.
