“ And who said you can do that? ” Striker rolled his shoulders, stepping forth.

“ I don’t need permission to take back one of my own. I refuse to let her stay here. She must return home. ” Dustin spoke, his face taking on an expressionless facade.

“ I told you, Dustin. I will deal with this. She won’t be telling anything to anyone. You don’t need to do this. ” Striker stepped back as if backing away from a fight with the man he considered a friend.

It was clear that Striker still thought Dustin was worried about the whole Beatrice thing. I scrunched my nose, feeling weird in my tummy.
