Chapter 1

Author: Grogan
I was dressed up like a zombie and locked inside a transparent glass coffin.

"Please... let... me... out. I'm having a panic attack..."

My claustrophobia had triggered a severe asthma attack. Clutching my throat in agony, I begged the brothers standing beside the coffin to let me out.

My heavy gasps and trembling voice made it nearly impossible to piece together a coherent sentence.

"Her voice does sound a bit off."

My second brother, Donald, suggested, "Maybe we should just let her out."

My eldest brother, Raymond, seemed to remember something as well. He yelled out in a panic, "Right! I remember now. Sarah has claustrophobia! That might be why she's so scared..."

As he spoke, he stepped forward to come to me, but Tiana blocked his path. She pouted unhappily. "Brothers, I haven't had enough fun yet!"

"I knew Sarah was afraid of dark, cramped spaces, that is why I didn't play this game in a dark room. Instead, I thoughtfully chose this glass coffin for her.

"I was so considerate of her, yet she's still playing the pity card in front of you guys! She just wants to ruin my game!”

Raymond and Donald exchanged glances and nodded slightly.

"Tiana is right. This is a transparent coffin and all of us are here watching over her, how could she have a panic attack?"

"I doubt she's having an actual attack. She's likely just using us to ruin Tiana's mood."

Donald kicked the coffin in dissatisfaction, his tone growing cold. "Quiet down in there! It’s been so long since Tiana got lost and it's rare to find something that actually makes her happy. To make her know she feels valued by us, we have to keep going!"

Despair washed over me even more heavily.

The lack of oxygen was making my vision spin.

I stopped begging them for help and started pounding frantically on the glass.

Feeling it loosen slightly, I desperately dug my fingers into the seam. Ignoring the piercing pain, I tried to pry the glass open with my fingernails.

However, the glass lid was simply too heavy.

Just as I was about to succeed, Tiana noticed my movements. She immediately stepped forward, blocked her brothers' line of sight and pressed down hard on the glass surface.

"Ah!"

I screamed out in pure agony. My fingernails snapped all at once, leaving my fingertips a bloody, mangled mess.

The brothers were startled by my bloodcurdling scream.

My third brother, James, rushed over and pulled Tiana away.

Seeing the streaks of blood on the glass, he panicked and exclaimed, "Blood! Sarah! What happened to you? You're really hurting badly, I'll let you out right now."

He quickly brought out the key to the coffin.

A bald man with a face full of scars walked out of the alley, roaring as he approached, "What the fuck are you all standing around for? “Didn't you hear my woman say she wants to skin her alive? Get moving!""How arrogant! Whose skin did you say you want to peel off?" my mother spoke up, her voice freezing cold. The bald man froze in his tracks. As he saw that it was my mother, sheer terror washed over him.Yet, Tiana was still shrieking wildly, "Your daughter's skin, of course! If you dare get in the way, I'll skin you right along with her, you old hag!"The moment the words left her mouth…SMACK!!!The bald man swung his arm in a massive arc and delivered a ferocious backhand that sent Tiana flying. Two of her teeth knocked loose and flew through the air."Who the fuck do you think you're talking to?! Do you have any idea who this is?!"This is the Donna of the Brown family!"If you want to die, don't drag me down with you!"He spun around instantly and bent over as he

Along the way, Tiana was reprimanded by the three brothers.Raymond shoved her annoyingly. "Damn it, are we there yet? Don't play any tricks on us!"Tiana pointed to the pitch-black alley entrance ahead. "Right there! Just around the corner!"The moment they turned the corner, the atmosphere instantly turned eerie. The ground was littered with cigarette butts. Exposed electrical wires hung on the walls like snakes. It was immediately obvious they had stumbled into a place they shouldn't have.Tiana shrieked and threw herself into the arms of the bald boss standing in the center, weeping pitifully. "Boss, save me! These three perverts held me captive! Thank goodness I was smart enough to escape, otherwise, I would never have seen you again in this lifetime!"The bald boss narrowed his eyes. He sized up the three men in front of him and flew into a furious rage. "Fuck! You dare touch my woman? Beat them to death!"A crowd of lackeys rushed out at his command, wielding weapons.

Inside the pitch-black room, Tiana screamed until her voice turned hoarse.Suddenly, she heard movement outside the door.Pressing her ear against the surface, she listened intently, it was her brothers' voices!“Brothers, save me! I am so scared!”She pounded on the door frantically, overwhelmed by the sheer joy of survival. The door swung open.Raymond stood there with his face completely grim.Donald and James trailed behind him, their eyes were bloodshot and their faces were twisted with rage, looking as if they wanted to tear her apart limb from limb.As Tiana had never seen them like this before, she started trembling uncontrollably.Instantly, she shifted into her usual pitiful act and started coaxing them just as she had done countless times before.“Brothers, I was wrong. I just wanted to bond with Sarah so badly, I didn't realize I took the joke too far. I promise I’ll never dare do it again!”Smack!Without a word, Raymond raised his hand and delivered a resoundin

Raymond, was the most severely injured. Thick gauze was wrapped around his head and his face was covered in bloody scabs.Donald and James weren't looking any better, their faces were swollen and bruised.“Sarah! You’re awake!” Raymond tried to come closer but stopped as if he was terrified of hurting me. “We were absolute bastards this time. We took the joke way too far. Please forgive your brothers!”Donald fell straight to his knees with a heavy thud. “Sarah, we failed you! Thank God you’re alright, otherwise our consciences would have tortured us for the rest of our lives!”With bloodshot eyes, James pleaded. “We lost our minds for a moment and believed Tiana’s story. We thought you were just acting! We’re so sorry, please forgive us!”Hearing the name "Tiana" made my entire body stiffen.“Sarah,” Raymond begged on his knees, “please let Tiana off the hook! She’s still young, she’s just starved for affection. She isn't inherently evil...”Donald also crawled over, wrapping h

Even with a gun pointed at his head, Raymond didn't lose an ounce of his arrogance. He continued, "Old man, stop acting! You think you can bluff me with a toy gun?!"However, the very next second, a crowd of men in black burst through the door and completely surrounded the scene. He finally realized something was horribly wrong. These men were all my father's subordinates. Initially, Father had instructed them to follow from a distance and explicitly ordered them not to show their faces to avoid scaring me and my foster siblings. But upon hearing the commotion, they rushed in to take control of the situation."Tell me! Where is my daughter!" Father demanded, raising his gun coldly.Raymond, who had been so arrogant just moments ago, turned pale with fright. Trembling all over, he pointed toward the basement."The... the basement..."Rushing into the basement, my parents finally saw me, locked inside a coffin and dressed up like a zombie.Mom's tears spilled over instantly.

At that exact moment, my older brothers had changed their shoes and were waiting for Tiana to head out."Tiana, let's go," Raymond urged. "We need to pick out your gift before dark so we can still make it back to celebrate the festival with Sarah."Tiana was flaunting herself in front of the mirror, wearing my white dress. She turned to Donald and said cutely, "Donald, my neck still feels a bit bare without a necklace..."Clutching the necklace that was supposed to belong to me, Donald hesitated for a moment. "Tiana, you already look beautiful enough in that dress. You don't need a necklace. Let's hurry up and get going!""Donald, you are the most biased toward Sarah! It's just a necklace, I only want to wear it for a bit and look how much it pains you!""How could that be? You both mean the same to me..."After a brief hesitation, Donald handed the necklace over. The moment the door opened, my breathless parents rushed up to the entrance."Hello, we are Sarah's parents.
