Chapter 7: Attracting Scolding

"Qianqian, let me tell you, after that old man dumped Victoria Hubbard, she was forced to have an abortion. She lost both the baby and her dignity, and now she's just lashing out. Just treat her like a madwoman."

Those who always try to break up others' families, thinking they can take over by getting pregnant, how could they end up well?

"Serves her right."

"Who are you calling that?" Victoria Hubbard walked over with a few of her followers.

Have you ever seen someone pick up insults like they pick up money?

Lilith Douglas smiled, "Whoever asks is the one being insulted."

"Lilith Douglas, you poor little rich girl, not even as good as a streetwalker, yet you still look down on this and that. Do you think you're so high and mighty? You’re just another cheap woman who relies on old men to get ahead," Victoria Hubbard said, hands on her hips, pointing at Lilith Douglas, her face flushed red.

"Which of your eyes saw Qianqian with an old man? Don't be such a snob," Trista Felix retorted, jumping up and down.

"And who are you? You’re just Lilith Douglas's lapdog, a lowlife. You’re not even worth my time to argue with."

"Who are you calling a lowlife, Victoria Hubbard? Did you mess up your brain when you had the abortion? Say it again, and I’ll tear you apart."

Trista Felix rolled up her sleeves, ready to fight.

"Enough, Ningning. Arguing with her lowers our standards. Let's go."

Lilith Douglas pulled Trista Felix away.

Victoria Hubbard and her group ranted at the air for a while before leaving in anger.

"She's really a moron," Trista Felix fumed.

"If you know she's a moron, why argue with her? Are you trying to see who's the top moron?"

Victoria Hubbard has never liked Lilith Douglas, and if Lilith Douglas were to really fight back, she could probably knock her down with a kick. After all, Lilith Douglas was the champion of the H City Taekwondo competition.

But what was the point? It wasn't that she had a saintly heart; she simply didn't want to waste her time on such trivial matters.

When Lilith Douglas returned from school, she ran into Wade Orlando as soon as she entered the house.

"Uncle." She still maintained her manners.

Wade Orlando's gaze was scrutinizing, scanning Lilith Douglas from head to toe.

Feeling uncomfortable under his stare, Lilith Douglas tried to sidestep him and head upstairs.

But Wade Orlando stood firmly in front of her, showing no intention of moving.

Lilith Douglas disliked this oppressive feeling and frowned, looking at him, "What does Uncle want by blocking my way?"

The girl was bright and sunny, especially the dimples at the corners of her lips when she smiled, which hid a sweetness that could be sickening. This was exactly to Wade Orlando's liking.

If Leo Orlando were still a healthy, normal person, he would never dare to have any improper thoughts.

But now, he was a vegetative patient.

Wade Orlando reached out to touch Lilith Douglas's face, but she stepped back defensively, "What are you doing?"

"Don't be afraid. Uncle just noticed that you don't look well. Didn't you sleep well last night?"

Lilith Douglas pursed her lips in disgust. Whether she slept well or not, did it matter to her husband's uncle?

"I slept very well. If Uncle has nothing else, I’ll go to Huaishen."

Just as Lilith Douglas was about to go upstairs, Wade Orlando grabbed her arm and pulled her back, "What's the rush? Huaishen isn't going anywhere. Chat with Uncle for a bit, so I can get to know you better."

Lilith Douglas became wary, "I don't think that's necessary."

"Lilith Douglas, you married into the Orlando family to bring luck to Huaishen, but he may never wake up. Why don't you be with me instead? I’ll show you how happy a woman can be."

Wade Orlando smiled lewdly, his expression extremely vulgar.
