Chapter Twenty-four

I COULDN'T help but stare at Lenos as he opened the door of the passenger seat for me. He used to always do this for me. 

“You don’t need to do this,” I told him with a straight face. “I can easily pass through things, you know. I'm invisible."

Lenos just smiled at me. Damn. That freaking smile. I wanted to erase it from his face. “But I want to.” 

I was attacked by familiar sensations as I entered his car. His car smelled familiar. It smelled of him…Aventus Creed. After ten years, he didn't even manage to change his perfume! 

“What happened to Caren? Did she run away?” Lenos asked me as we left the parking area of the hospital. 

I absentmindedly stare
