LOGINSelene
For a moment, I honestly believed I misunderstood Amelia’s words.
My mind refused to process what she had just confessed because none of it made sense to me. I felt frozen in place as I stared at her, while waiting for someone to laugh and say this was all a terrible joke.
But nobody laughed. Instead, the room remained painfully silent.
I slowly looked around at everyone’s faces, trying to understand what was happening. My father looked shocked, while my mother stared at Amelia with confusion written all over her face.
Then my eyes moved toward Tyler.
My mate stood quietly near the fireplace wearing the black suit he was supposed to wear for our engagement ceremony.
His jaw looked tense, and his hands trembled slightly by his sides. But the worst part was the fact that he refused to look at me directly. His gaze kept shifting toward Amelia instead.
And that alone made my stomach twist painfully. Finally, Tyler spoke.
“Amelia,” he said quietly. “Stop this. Not here.”
The moment those words left his mouth, my heart dropped painfully inside my chest as I stared at him in disbelief.
Not here?
He did not deny it.
Amelia slowly wiped the tears on her face before resting a trembling hand over her stomach.
“I am tired of hiding it,” she whispered shakily. “Tyler is the father of my baby. And he is my mate too.”
My chest tightened so painfully that breathing suddenly became difficult.
I stared at Tyler.
Then Amelia.
Then my parents.
I kept waiting for someone to say something that would fix this horrible moment, but instead my mother suddenly rushed toward Amelia.
“Oh my Goddess,” Helena breathed before wrapping her arms around her gently.
My father quickly followed after her.
“You should have told us earlier,” he said softly.
I stood there frozen while they comforted her. I waited for anger. I waited for disappointment. I waited for someone to care about what this was doing to me.
Instead, everyone gathered around Amelia like she was the victim.
A painful laugh escaped my lips before I could stop it.
“What is going on?” I asked shakily.
But nobody answered me immediately. Amelia slowly lifted her eyes toward me again.
“Tyler is my mate,” she repeated softly.
I slowly shook my head while tears burned behind my eyes.
“No,” I whispered weakly.
“It is true,” Amelia replied calmly.
“No,” I repeated again, but my voice sounded smaller this time.
Then my mother finally turned toward me.
“Selene,” she said carefully, “for the sake of the family’s reputation, Amelia will attend the engagement ceremony today with Tyler.”
For a moment, I honestly thought I heard her wrongly. “What?” I whispered.
“Guests are already arriving,” Helena continued calmly. “We cannot allow a scandal to ruin everything.”
I immediately turned toward my father and he avoided my gaze completely.
“You cannot be serious,” I whispered painfully.
My mother gently held Amelia’s hand again.
“She is pregnant,” Helena said softly. “And Tyler is responsible for the child.”
My chest tightened painfully.
“So that is it?” I asked weakly. “You are replacing me?”
Tears filled my eyes immediately. “I am your daughter too!”
My voice shook badly, but neither of them answered me.
Instead, my mother stood protectively beside Amelia while my father remained silent beside them.
“Come downstairs when you are ready,” Helena told Tyler softly.
Then just like that, they walked out of the room with Amelia standing safely between them.
The door closed quietly behind them, leaving only Tyler and me inside the room.
I stared at him while tears trembled in my eyes. Questions rushed through my head so quickly that I could barely think properly anymore. I knew I had no wolf. But Tyler and I had fallen in love. But then again, how did this happen?
Why Amelia?
Why my own sister?
I looked at Tyler again and felt my chest ache painfully. “What is going on?” I whispered brokenly as pain flashed across Tyler’s face immediately.
“Selene—”
“How?” I interrupted sharply. “How did this happen?”
He remained quiet. And that silence hurt me more than any words possibly could.
“When did this even start?” I cried. “When did you have the opportunity to do this behind my back?”
“Selene, please—”
“No!” I shouted loudly.
My chest rose heavily while tears continued running down my face.
“Why her?” I asked painfully. “Why my sister?”
Tyler closed his eyes briefly before taking a deep breath.
“I never meant for this to happen.”
A bitter laugh escaped my lips.
“You slept with my sister, Tyler,” I whispered shakily. “And your excuse is that you never meant for it to happen?”
“It just happened,” he muttered quietly.
I stared at him in complete disbelief.
My breathing became uneven again.
“I am not surprised that my parents chose Amelia over me,” I admitted painfully. “They have always done that. But you…”
My voice broke completely.
Tyler immediately looked away from me. And that small movement shattered something inside me completely.
A painful sob escaped my lips before I slowly walked toward him and grabbed his arms tightly.
“Please tell me this is not real,” I whispered desperately. “I have been trying to talk to you for days because I needed you.”
Concern finally appeared on Tyler’s face.
“What do you mean?” he asked quietly.
My lips trembled badly.
“I lost our baby.”
The moment those words left my mouth, my body started shaking violently.
“I lost our child seven days ago,” I whispered painfully. “I was trying to tell you.”
Lucian's POVThe energy continued flowing through Selene, I could feel it moving from my body into hers through our joined hands. Unlike the last time she had attempted the spell, there was no sudden burst of power. She was controlling it, barely, but she was.I looked around the pool. The cave was quiet as usual, except for the sound of water moving beneath us. The markings Selene had drawn covered the ground around the pool. They formed a wide circle, with smaller symbols connecting each point. This place was different from the hidden room in Stormborn, and the spiritual energy here was stronger. It was almost alive. When I looked down at my arm, the cut I had received from the blade earlier was completely healed. There wasn't even a scar left."Lucian.". Selene's voice pulled my attention back to her."Yes?""I can feel it.""What do you feel?""The energy."Her fingers tightened around mine. "It's moving through my core."I studied her face. She looked nervous, but she didn't lo
Selene's POVThe door opened early that morning.I sat up immediately, but for a few seconds, I simply stared at it. After days of being locked inside my room, seeing the door open felt strange.I slowly got out of bed and walked toward it.I looked into the hallway but saw no sign of anybody. No guards, no Lucian, and my brothers were no where to be found.I stepped outside and looked from one end of the corridor to the other, but saw no one."That's strange," I muttered.I didn't know why they had suddenly changed their minds, but I wasn't going to question it.I quickly returned to my room and took my bath. After getting dressed, I left my room and walked downstairs, staying alert as I moved through the palace. When I entered the dining room, Kael and Kieran were already there.Kael looked up from his plate. "You're awake early.""I couldn't sleep," I replied.Kieran pushed a plate toward me. "Then eat."I sat down between them. For the first few minutes, nobody said much.I wat
Selene's POVSomething was wrong with me, I could feel it.I had barely slept off when the visions started again. I saw a dark forest, then the palace, then blood on the floor.I saw Kael standing beside me, but his eyes were empty. Kieran was behind him, holding something I couldn't see. Then everything suddenly changed.I saw myself standing beside Lucian in a place that seemed too peaceful, he was holding my hand. I suddenly opened my eyes, my heart was beating hard."What was that?" I asked under my breath,as I sat on the edge of my bed, rubbing my face. The visions felt real, but I didn't trust them. The rogues could be doing this, probably because they wanted me to see things that would make me turn against my brothers. But if that was true, why were Kael and Kieran acting so strangely? Why wouldn't they answer my questions? Why had they locked me inside my own room?I stared at the door.I had been trying to understand them for days, but now I was beginning to lose hope.Maybe

Lucian's POVThe atmosphere in Stormborn had changed. Two weeks ago Kael and Kieran had barely tolerated my presence, now they openly watched me, every conversation had become shorter. Every meeting ended with a reminder."My King," Draven said as we walked through the west corridor, "your two weeks are almost over.""I can count,” I replied, still walking.Draven glanced up at me. "I know.""Then why remind me?""Because you seem to have forgotten."I stopped walking and looked at him. "I haven't."He sighed. "You are becoming too attached to this place.""I am staying because of the agreement."Draven shot me a look. "Of course."I continued walking, and he followed."Then why have you been sneaking food into Princess Selene's room?"I didn't reply, I just kept walking. He added. "And snacks."I still didn't say anything. He continued. "Three times yesterday."I finally looked at him. "She wasn't eating.""Her brothers are feeding her.""They are locking her inside her room."Draven'
