Chapter Twenty

"Viktor?" I called into the silence but no answer came.

"Viktor!" I called more urgently.

"In here!" He yelled back so I walked towards his study. Faint light came from inside the room and I sighed before pushing the door open.

"Can I sit in here with you?" I asked carefully and he looked up at me.

"Why?" He asked in confusion.

"Because I don't like being alone." I said softly and he frowned.

"Why not?" He questioned again.

"Because it's scary." I said and his eyes softened.

"Well in that case have a seat princess." He said before placing his focus back on his computer screen.

I sat on a small couch before curling myself into a small bundle and watching Viktor.

"Viktor?" I called.

"Hmm?" He replied before looking over at me.

"It's my birthday." I said softly and a tear slipped out of my eye. I didn't think I was gonna spend my Saturday like this.

As I brushed my tears away I was picked up into Viktor's arms.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"We still have five hours lef
