Chapter Twenty Eight

"Tomás!" I called and he sighed nervously.

"We spotted Viktor's car on the R303." He said and I frowned.

"Then why do you have that look on your face?" I asked and he sighed once more.

"We lost sight of him, sir. The other cameras on the road were all jammed." He explained.

"So search the area." I said in frustration. "Nevermind, I'll do it myself." I said and Tomás clenched his jaw.

"We're coming with you, sir." He said and I nodded curtly.

"I'll leave with Luciano." I said before leaving my office. Hopefully Vera is with her brother, that way I can kill two birds with one stone.

I entered Luciano's office at the end of the hall and found him standing in front of his window.

"We have a lead on Viktor." I said and his head snapped at me.

"What?" He asked with a frown on his forehead.

"We spotted Viktor's car on the R303." I explained and he nodded slowly.

"Right, let's go." He said blankly. What's up with him?
