I walked away from the house with no direction in mind and kept walking ahead with my backpack still pressed against my back. I didn't want to be anywhere near that house, it was just too much to shove behind me once again. I tried and tried to make progress, to see where she is coming from, to give her ‘grace’, and understand the situation but it just never ends. I keep finding excuses for the situation she puts me in to help myself understand it better and not hold grudges and bitterness against her.

She had me young and didn't get the chance to live out her youth.

She lived half of her life for me, she should live hers now.

She deserves love after all the ups and downs she has been through.

I told myself those words every time something popped out of the blue, I believed them, and didn't want to be that person holding her back from living all those lives. All my life I held those words to myself and made sure I didn't forget them. I just wish it didn't have to be that way,
