It all came back to him. He was Morgan Garren, the former Alpha of the Bluemoon Pack, unjustly stripped of his leadership. Accused of treason, he was cast into the dungeon and left to rot with no food and no water. The guards beat him mercilessly, day after day. Then, Declan, his loyal beta, saved him. Declan had given him a powerful herbal tea that would stop his breathing for hours. When everyone thought he was dead, he was buried on the ground, but Declan dug him up and took him away.

He traveled far, sailing across the ocean until a massive wave struck his boat. He vanished without a trace. The next time he awoke, he was in a hospital bed, with no memory of his past, even his own name.

Morgan was in the midst of his thoughts when his cellphone rang. It was his wife, Laura.

"Honey, are you on your way now?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.

"Uhm, yes...I'm on my way," he stammered. For now, it was better to keep this a secret. Laura had been a good wife to him and Jenny—

  • Once More, Alpha Pleads   CHAPTER 39- Risky Choice

With the first hint of dawn, Lilian stood by the door, her travel bag at her feet, already zipped and ready. Her coat was half-buttoned, phone gripped tightly in one hand. Every second that passed was a beat of time she didn’t have. Every second Liam was gone felt like a dagger turning in her chest. And yet—her mother, Aurora, stood between her and the exit. Arms crossed. Chin raised. Her presence was calm, but her eyes were filled with determination.“I’m coming with you, dear,” Aurora said again, her voice was firm. “I can't let you go to the Balkans alone.”Lilian’s heart clenched. “Mom, no.” She stepped forward, lowering her voice, trying to be gentle. “You can’t come with me. You don’t understand how dangerous that place is. You better stay here for your safety."“I’m not that weak, Lilian,” Aurora snapped, her voice rising with passion. “I may not be as powerful as them but I’m your mother. And I have every right to stand by your side when you're walking into a fire.”“I just...

  • Once More, Alpha Pleads   CHAPTER 38- Setting Aside

Lilian sat alone in a corner, her back pressed against the wall of her son’s bedroom. The room still smelled faintly of baby powder and warm milk, a scent that once brought her comfort—but now felt like a cruel reminder of what was missing. Her son.Her arms wrapped tightly around her knees as sobs wracked her body, sharp and unrelenting. Her cries were not just sounds—they were broken pieces of her heart spilling out, raw and aching. She leaned her head against the soft, stuffed elephant Liam always cuddled at night, its little ear damp with her tears. The silence in the room felt deafening. No sound of giggles. No tiny feet pattering across the floor. Just the chilling emptiness that screamed louder than anything else.Then—footsteps.Lilian flinched. The door creaked open with a suddenness that jolted her. Standing at the threshold was her mother, Aurora, her gray-streaked hair still tousled from sleep and her robe loosely tied around her waist. Her face, once calm with the softnes

  • Once More, Alpha Pleads   CHAPTER 37- Dark Figure

A few days had passed since Morgan left for the Balkans, and though it was fine for her, she could not help but feel the emptiness of his absence. Lilian resumed her work at the office, making herself busy in attending meetings and other business concerns to distract herself from the lingering thoughts of him. She told herself she was fine, that she did not care about him, but a part of her couldn’t shake the feeling that something was different this time. At home, her mother, Aurora, took over most of the household responsibilities. She spent most of her time taking care of the flowers and plants in the backyard. By doing this, she could at least forget the life she had in the Balkans. When the afternoon rolled in, she would pick Liam up from school, holding his small hand as they walked home together. "Mom, where’s my Daddy?" Liam suddenly asked. "Do I have a Daddy?" Lilian froze, her hand tightening around the spoon she had been using to stir Liam’s soup. She wasn't expecting

  • Once More, Alpha Pleads   CHAPTER 36- Danger is Everywhere

Morgan watched as the two wolves disappeared into the night, his jaw clenched. He knew Argos wouldn’t stop until he was dead. His half brother was ruthless, and if he had sent assassins this far, it meant the situation in the Balkans was worse than he had thought. He needed to act quickly, but there was still one thing holding him back—Lilian. He turned towards her window, his heart pounding. He had seen the way she looked at him earlier, full of hesitation and pain. The bond between them still existed, no matter how much she tried to deny it. But he knew, he hurt her so much that it was hard to forgive him.Meanwhile, inside Lilian’s room, she sat on the edge of her bed, gripping the fabric of her nightgown tightly. She had seen everything. The fight, the way Morgan had spared those wolves, and the look in his eyes when he let them go. It had the look of a true Alpha. Despite everything, she couldn’t deny that a part of her still admired him. But admiration wasn’t enough. She had suf

Since Lilian's parents were occupied in business, they were out of the city again after meeting Aurora. "Mom, are you okay?" she asked. "I am not used to this kind of life, dear, but maybe someday I can adopt the lifestyle here," Aurora answered as she looked at the window. Lilian came closer to her and tapped her shoulder. "I know, Mom, it's hard for you, but this is the safest place outside the Balkans." Aurora inhaled deeply, her gaze drawn to the glittering tapestry of stars above. But then, a flicker of interest caught her eye—a movement next door."Alpha Morgan!" she spoke, her voice barely audible. Lilian's heart skipped a bit when she heard Morgan's name. Had she really seen him? If so, then Morgan had already arrived from the Balkans. She was certain he had gone there and was the one who rescued them again, the Gamma wolves. "What did you say, Mom?" she asked as she pulled away the window curtains. "I think I saw Alpha Morgan," Aurora muttered. "I am not mist

  • Once More, Alpha Pleads   CHAPTER 34- Unease

Lilian took a sigh of relief when she realized they were already outside the Balkans. She was certain the wolves would not go after them, so they were safe for now. However, her thoughts drifted toward Morgan. She was certain it was him, but how did he know she was in the Balkans? The question lingered in her mind. "Where are we going, dear?" Aurora asked. "To Silverstone, Mom. I want you to meet my adoptive parents, and of course Liam. I'm sure he’d be happy to see you," Lilian replied. "By the way, the one who helped us earlier was indeed a strong wolf. It reminded me of Alpha Morgan. But it could not be him. He went missing a year ago, and everyone in the pack believed that he was dead." Lilian was just silent while waiting for her mom to say something more. She could not tell her yet that Morgan was alive and his neighbor in Silverstone.“Do you still remember him, dear?” Her mother’s question took her by surprise. “No, Mom,” she lied, though she knew it wasn’t true. “It
