Lilian and Aurora were dragged mercilessly through the dense forest, their hands bound by enchanted ropes that burned against their skin with every movement. The wolves who captured them snarled whenever Lilian tried to resist, and though her wolf surged with anger, she could not unleash her full strength—not while Aurora, her mother, was being held at claw-point.

Aurora’s face was pale, her eyes filled with fear but also unyielding strength. She whispered, “Stay strong, dear. Don’t let them see your fear.”

Lilian clenched her jaw, rage and helplessness mixing like poison in her chest. She had fought bravely, but the sheer number of Argos’s loyal wolves had overwhelmed her. Every strike she landed was countered, every attempt to protect her mother ended with her being beaten down.

  • Once More, Alpha Pleads   CHAPTER 41- Taking the Risk

Morgan sprinted through the forest, his senses sharp and focused. The Bluemoon Pack’s territory was still a distance away, but his wolf was restless beneath his skin, urging him to move faster. His breath came out in ragged bursts, fogging in the cold night air as the crunch of leaves and snapping twigs echoed beneath his boots. Each step was driven by desperation and purpose"Liam is my son, so I need to protect him and save him at all costs," he told himself, jaw tightening, his wolf clawing at the edges of his control, demanding to be unleashed.Back in the forest, Lilian and Aurora trailed carefully behind Morgan. They moved like shadows, their footsteps light against the forest floor. The moonlight filtered through the branches, casting silver streaks across their worried faces. They stayed far enough away that Morgan wouldn't sense them—yet close enough not to lose his trail.Lilian’s heart hammered in her chest with every step. She hated disobeying Morgan’s direct order to stay

Morgan stood up, his body tense as he listened carefully. Lilian's scent still hung in the damp forest air. His heartbeat sped up.If she was here, then it could only mean one thing—Liam... "Oh no!" he muttered. His heart even beat faster when he remembered his dream. Though unconfirmed, a powerful intuition linked the child to him.Slowly, he stepped forward, slipping between the trees like a shadow, following Lilian's scent until he found her.Lilian stood at the edge of the forest, her frame stiff, her gaze looking around as if she was searching for something—or someone. Her mother was beside her, barely keeping pace, her face lined with determination despite her exhaustion.Morgan hesitated for only a second before stepping into the open."Lilian," he called out."Alpha Morgan!" Aurora exclaimed. "Aurora, what happened? What brought you here?" he asked anxiously."Alpha..."Aurora was not able to finish what she wanted to say because Lilian interrupted. "It's none of his business

With the first hint of dawn, Lilian stood by the door, her travel bag at her feet, already zipped and ready. Her coat was half-buttoned, phone gripped tightly in one hand. Every second that passed was a beat of time she didn’t have. Every second Liam was gone felt like a dagger turning in her chest. And yet—her mother, Aurora, stood between her and the exit. Arms crossed. Chin raised. Her presence was calm, but her eyes were filled with determination.“I’m coming with you, dear,” Aurora said again, her voice was firm. “I can't let you go to the Balkans alone.”Lilian’s heart clenched. “Mom, no.” She stepped forward, lowering her voice, trying to be gentle. “You can’t come with me. You don’t understand how dangerous that place is. You better stay here for your safety."“I’m not that weak, Lilian,” Aurora snapped, her voice rising with passion. “I may not be as powerful as them but I’m your mother. And I have every right to stand by your side when you're walking into a fire.”“I just...

Lilian sat alone in a corner, her back pressed against the wall of her son’s bedroom. The room still smelled faintly of baby powder and warm milk, a scent that once brought her comfort—but now felt like a cruel reminder of what was missing. Her son.Her arms wrapped tightly around her knees as sobs wracked her body, sharp and unrelenting. Her cries were not just sounds—they were broken pieces of her heart spilling out, raw and aching. She leaned her head against the soft, stuffed elephant Liam always cuddled at night, its little ear damp with her tears. The silence in the room felt deafening. No sound of giggles. No tiny feet pattering across the floor. Just the chilling emptiness that screamed louder than anything else.Then—footsteps.Lilian flinched. The door creaked open with a suddenness that jolted her. Standing at the threshold was her mother, Aurora, her gray-streaked hair still tousled from sleep and her robe loosely tied around her waist. Her face, once calm with the softnes

A few days had passed since Morgan left for the Balkans, and though it was fine for her, she could not help but feel the emptiness of his absence. Lilian resumed her work at the office, making herself busy in attending meetings and other business concerns to distract herself from the lingering thoughts of him. She told herself she was fine, that she did not care about him, but a part of her couldn’t shake the feeling that something was different this time. At home, her mother, Aurora, took over most of the household responsibilities. She spent most of her time taking care of the flowers and plants in the backyard. By doing this, she could at least forget the life she had in the Balkans. When the afternoon rolled in, she would pick Liam up from school, holding his small hand as they walked home together. "Mom, where’s my Daddy?" Liam suddenly asked. "Do I have a Daddy?" Lilian froze, her hand tightening around the spoon she had been using to stir Liam’s soup. She wasn't expecting
