Stacey breathed out heavily and replied, "That's fine. You should stay away from Helen and don't have anything to do with her. I do not like her, and I will not approve of your affair with her. She is too chubby and will get old easily."

Samuel's eyes widened in surprise as he picked up an apron to tie around his neck, but his mother stopped him.

"What are you trying to do? You just got back from the university, and you're tying the apron. Don't worry; I will make dinner alone," Stacey said, her hand reaching to stop Samuel from tying the apron.

"You should go and have your bath upstairs. I will make dinner alone," Stacey said, her voice soft, but Samuel shook his head and replied, "No, Mom. I want to help you. I want to learn how to cook so that I can cook for my wife in the future."

Stacey's eyes widened in shock at Samuel's statement. She smiled and replied, "Alright. But definitely not that chubby girl from the Roberts family."

Samuel smiled as his hands reached for the apron again. He collected it from his mother, tied it around his waist and neck, and said, "Obviously. She is nothing to me, and I am not interested in her."

Stacey stared into her son's obsidian black eyes and asked, "If you claim that you did not like her, then why did you give her the potent medicine worth 1 million dollars per bottle and even more because it was very active compared to the ones we created before? Why did you allow her to use it to save her father?"

Samuel looked away, his expression frowning as he said, "I had no idea who her father was. She was my course mate and a genius student like me."

"What?" Stacey's eyes widened in shock, and she asked, "Is Helen Roberts the same young woman who is competing for the overall highest score in your class?"

"Yeah. She is the one. So you see, she is not as dull as you might think. It's just a project. But I will be alert next time and not help anyone," Samuel replied as he moved over to the kitchen island, but his mother still doubted his motive.

"If you don't like her, then there's no way that you would have helped her. Even if her father was dying, why did you help her?" Stacey continued to ask, even as she moved to set up her ingredients.

"Mom, I have answered your questions. What more do you want to say? I can choose to help my colleague if I want, but the main fact is that I shouldn't leak my style of creation to them. Isn't that it?" Samuel's eyes locked with his mother, and she breathed out.

"You are right. Let's not waste our time talking about them, but you shouldn't do anything to annoy your father. You know that he is already suspicious, and if you want to see your friends, you should stay away from going against your father."

"I understand, and you don't have to remind me," Samuel replied, his voice calm but laced with irritation.

His mother set up the chicken, and he assisted her in cutting it and washing it into the pot.

Stacey was quiet as she knew that Samuel was lying to her, but she decided to speak to her husband later about it.

Once the chicken was in the pot, Stacey proceeded to cook the soup, and Samuel watched her cooking.

"Are you really serious about learning to cook? Do you have a girlfriend at the university?" Stacey asked once she covered her cooking pot and walked to meet Samuel. Night had fallen, but the mansion was lit with bright lights.

"No. I am not in any relationship. Relationship is a fraud," Samuel said with a smile, and Stacey laughed.

"Because you haven't seen the right woman. Don't worry; when you have graduated, I have a few friends, and I will introduce you to their daughters," she replied, but he rolled his eyes and took off his apron.

"Mom, I will go and have my bath and change out of these clothes to join you for dinner."

"Alright," Stacey replied calmly as she watched Samuel exit the kitchen.

*If he claimed not to like that fat girl, then why did he help her? Is he lying to us?*

"Hmm. I will have to discuss with his father about it," Stacey said with a smile after Samuel left the kitchen, and she focused on her cooking.

However, as Samuel walked out of the kitchen, he was stunned to see John's father, Senator Jerry Edward, had arrived at his father's house.

"Good evening, Noah," greeted Senator Jerry.

"Welcome. What brings you here to my home?" Mr. Noah asked as he sat elegantly on the couch like a king and not bothering to stand up and shake hands with Senator Jerry.

Senator Jerry was aware of Noah's ruthlessness. Since the Kingston Pharmaceutical rose to limelight, Noah had been aloof and acting superior.

"Noah, we are close friends, and you shouldn't be acting coldly toward me," Senator Jerry said, as he knew that Noah was angry with him because he had declined his wife partnering with the Kingston Pharmaceutical in the past. The Tommy Pharmaceutical was owned by Senator Jerry's wife, Felicia, and because of Senator Jerry's refusal then, Noah had this deep resentment for him.

"I wasn't aware of when we became friends. You once declined your wife helping me in the past, thinking that I wanted to snatch her from you because of her beauty. So, tell me, why are you here—to snatch mine?" Mr. Noah asked coldly, and Samuel's eyes widened in shock as he walked toward the stairs.

As Senator Jerry noticed Samuel, he smiled, while Samuel greeted him, "Good evening, sir."

"Evening, Samuel. Why are you home? I thought the university hadn't vacated and you are still having exams?" Senator Jerry asked suspiciously, and Samuel smiled.

"I know, sir. I wasn't feeling well, so I came home for a checkup," Samuel replied, his face appearing dull like he was sick.

Senator Jerry had his suspicions that maybe Samuel was the one who had created the potent stroke medicine, but seeing that Samuel was at home and hearing that Samuel was sick, he nodded and said, "It's fine. I didn't know that you were sick. I hope you're recovering now and you did your practical exams at the university before coming home."

"Yes, sir," Samuel replied, and Senator Jerry dismissed him, "It's fine."

After Samuel walked away and went back to his room on the top floor, Senator Jerry glanced at Mr. Noah and said, "Noah, I heard that your pharmaceutical company now has a strong potent stroke medicine that cures immediately. How can I get it? I am willing to pay you at any cost to have it for my mother. She isn't getting better."

"Mm…" Mr. Noah scowled and said, "We don't have it on sale for the moment. It's still on trials. Maybe by next month, it will be made available but sold at a cost of 2 million per bottle. Can you afford that?"

Senator Jerry's jaw dropped, but he smiled and said, "Of course, I can afford that."

"Good. When it's available in the company and has completed the drug federation checking and warrants, then I will let you know."

"Alright. Thank you," Senator Jerry said as he rose to his feet and prepared to leave. He asked, "How about the partnership with your company? Are you still going to consider supplying to my wife?"

As Senator Jerry peered at Mr. Noah's face, waiting to hear his response,

Mr. Noah scowled and said, "No, we don't do partnerships. Only the Kingston Pharmaceutical is liable to produce those potent drugs."

"Hmm. Alright. I will wait until then, but you should be aware that nothing lasts forever. One day, another company will take over yours, and you will have to cut off your market price," Senator Jerry said as he walked away.

"I will wait until then," Mr. Noah replied, his expression remaining unchanged as he knew that his son was the only one able to compete with him. But he wasn't bothered with that. By then; he would have grown old, so that would be Samuel's cross to carry. For now, he should relax and enjoy his fame, wealth, and power in the city.

Meanwhile, Stacey walked out of the kitchen after she was done setting up dinner. She walked up to meet her husband and asked him, "Honey, aren't you being too harsh and judgmental on Samuel? I asked him why he helped the Roberts' family heiress, and he said that he just helped her because she is more intelligent than him and the one who scored the highest in his department.""And you believe him? This explains to you why you should warn him to stay away from that family. Mr. Henry Roberts has fine medicines, even if they don't work as actively as ours; they are still potent and sold at a cheaper rate. I have warned Samuel. If I get to find out that he is dating that Roberts' daughter, I will deal with her on my own.""Honey, you will not commit any crime. What will you do to her?" Stacey looked at her husband worriedly."That's left for me to do. Just warn Samuel not to disclose our business to other families. I am not stopping him from continuing his studies because he needs the cer

Helen's heart softened under her mother's warm embrace. She hadn't expected that her father would automatically recover and even be able to talk and move his hands and legs on his own—something that he had not been able to do on his own before."Helen, do you have anything to say to the media? What university did you study with? Is it the well-known renowned University of Science in this city?" An interviewer asked, and Helen got to realize that it was because her father's company went bankrupt, and it was announced on the news that he was owing hundreds of workers' salaries. Not just that, some other hospitals that he was supposed to supply his medicine to, he failed to meet up with the supply. But now that he had been miraculously cured, they hoped that Helen would take over Roberts Pharmaceutical and distribute the medicine to other hospitals with other stroke victims too."Miss Helen!
