By the time Helen was done packing a few of her clothes, as she set the medicine in her bag and prepared to leave the room, Tasha arrived and seemed shocked to see Helen was already prepared to leave the hostel.
"Helen, where on earth are you rushing off to?" Tasha asked, as she blocked Helen's path from leaving the room. "Tasha, I do not have the time to explain to you. I have to hurry home now. It's urgent," Helen replied as she pushed past Tasha and dashed out of the room. "Fine. Call me when you get home and be careful out there," Tasha said, as Helen hurried out. "Alright," Helen replied, and she made her way out of the hostel. Carrying a black school bag on her shoulder as she wore a pair of black shoes and her blue dress, she walked out of the female's hostel and made her way out of the university grounds. As Helen continued trekking out of the university grounds, Samuel spotted her, as he had been searching for her. Though it was a bet, he couldn't help but want to speak with her. He called to her attention, "Helen!" Helen froze as she turned to look at Samuel, who was hurrying over to meet her. "What's it? What do you want from me?" Helen asked impatiently, as she was in a hurry to leave for her father's house. She couldn't believe that this bad boy was very brilliant, like Mrs. Katherine had said. Helen pondered, Did Samuel pay Mrs. Katherine to hype him? She knew how influential Samuel was, and she didn't want to get close to him. Even senior students longed for his attention. "Where are you off to, carrying a bag? Are you going home?" Samuel asked, his brows furrowed as he wondered where Helen was running off to. "Stay away from me!" Helen warned as she attempted to run away again, but Samuel caught her right hand and pulled her back to his chest. Her body unexpectedly pressed against his hard frame, sending shivers down her spine, as a man had not touched her before. Not even her brothers. Her immediately older brother, Patrick, was ten years older than her. She was her mother's last child out of five children and a baby that her parents hadn't expected they would have after 18 years of marriage. So, as Helen was 21 years old, her older brother, Patrick, was 31, and her mother, Rosemary, was a 58-year-old woman. Her other brothers, Paul, Zion and Caleb were far older than her. "Stay away from me; I am warning you, Samuel!" Helen slapped Samuel on his left cheek, after her chest had pressed against him. Samuel's body was as hard as a rock as he felt the size of Helen's big boobs pressed against his chest. He let go of her hand and caressed his left cheek, smiling, as he watched her running away. Samuel imagined how Helen would feel under him and when he had her náked. He was not a saint. Smiling, he saw some other medical students in their department looking at him in surprise, as they had waited to see if he would attack Helen after she slapped him. But he left without saying anything or hurting her back. "I cannot believe that Samuel Kingston actually let that chubby nerd go. Why is he obsessed with chasing after that plus-sized girl?" Some other female students gossiped amongst themselves. John Edward had just stepped out of the university cafeteria when he saw Helen slap Samuel for holding her hand, and he didn't do anything to retaliate. "Samuel is wasting his time and bet on Helen. He should get prepared to pay me my 10 million dollars," John said with a smile, as he thought about other ways to get his revenge on Helen. He went back to the men's dormitory to find Samuel. "Samuel, I cannot believe that you let Helen leave after she publicly humiliated you and slapped you before the other medical students. Why not slap her back?" John asked aloud, as he barged into the room. Alex and Eric peered at John in shock. "What? Helen did what? That chubby nerd? What's wrong with her? Samuel, how can you allow Helen to humiliate you publicly and you let her leave?" Eric asked, his voice laced with irritation. Samuel smiled as he took off his white top and sniffed it. His top was automatically filled with Helen's lavender scent, after she pressed on his chest. "What do you want me to do? Grab her and slap her back? Don't forget, I have a bet with John, and it's not like I am going to raise my hand on a woman," Samuel replied, his voice blunt as he turned to look back at his friends, who were staring at him in shock. "The deal is to get Helen, and I must get her. It's only a matter of time," Samuel said with a smile, and his three roommates glared at him like he had lost his mind. "I would have slapped her back if I was the one she had humiliated like that publicly. I still cannot see what you fascinate in that chubby nerd? She is not a genius either, and she hasn't even created any medicine or anything. She is only intelligent, yet as poor as a church rat," Eric spat, and Alex sighed and tapped his back. "Just let them deal with the bet. You don't have to drag Helen's family background into it. It's not her fault that she was born in a poor home," Alex said, as he was from an average family before his father became rich. He didn't like to look down on anyone. Eric glared at Alex and asked him, "Have you suddenly developed a soft spot for Helen too? I cannot believe that you have fallen for her charm. Get lost!" Eric left the room, and the three men sighed. "John, the bet is still on till next year. If I fail, I will pay you the money, but if I win, get ready to pay me off," Samuel said with a smirk. "Mmm. I will like to see you lose the deal. How about we raise it to 15 million dollars bet?" John asked with a smirk, and Alex's eyes widened in shock in the room. "What? You guys are crazy? What makes you think that Helen will agree? What if she never agrees to it, Samuel? Are you willing to lose 15 million dollars for this? Where do you want to get such money from? Do you plan to ask your father?" Alex asked, his voice filled with concern as he stood up from his own bed and walked in between John and Samuel. "You guys should cut off this bet. Helen is not like other girls, and she will not fall for this. Samuel…" Alex looked at Samuel and continued. "You shouldn't increase the bet or agree to John's offer." Samuel's smile faded a little as he thought about how Helen had smacked him for pulling her back to his chest. But the way his body felt so hard and filled with a primal desire to claim her, he had not felt that way before. He reasoned that he was going to get her. She could have felt the sparks too. As he recalled how her eyes widened in shock when their bodies touched, and how her cheeks had turned red. "Deal!" Samuel said, and Alex gasped, "What?" "We are not going to have a verbal agreement alone. We need to sign it down so that John doesn't back off. If you lose, you will pay me 15 million dollars, and if I lose, I will pay you 15 million dollars," Samuel said, his voice serious."Mom, where's Dad?" Ruth asked as she walked up to the dining table to meet her mother."He went upstairs. You should go and call him," Stacey said as she set up the dinner around the table."Alright, Mom," Ruth replied happily as she darted back to the stairs and went to the top floor to call her father. Her loud voice resonated in the mansion."Dad, dinner is ready!" Ruth shouted, her voice echoing on the top floor. She was the baby of the house and very playful too.Meanwhile, Samuel took his seat on the chair, and his mother looked at him and smiled."Samuel, is everything alright?" She peered at him curiously."Of course, Mom. I am fine," he replied with a calm voice, and his mother assured him, "Don't worry. I will speak with your father later."Samuel gave a nod and waited for his father to join him for dinner. The sound of his father's footsteps alighting the stairs with his younger sister echoed in the living room.A few minutes later, they arrived and joined Samuel and his m
Meanwhile, Stacey walked out of the kitchen after she was done setting up dinner. She walked up to meet her husband and asked him, "Honey, aren't you being too harsh and judgmental on Samuel? I asked him why he helped the Roberts' family heiress, and he said that he just helped her because she is more intelligent than him and the one who scored the highest in his department.""And you believe him? This explains to you why you should warn him to stay away from that family. Mr. Henry Roberts has fine medicines, even if they don't work as actively as ours; they are still potent and sold at a cheaper rate. I have warned Samuel. If I get to find out that he is dating that Roberts' daughter, I will deal with her on my own.""Honey, you will not commit any crime. What will you do to her?" Stacey looked at her husband worriedly."That's left for me to do. Just warn Samuel not to disclose our business to other families. I am not stopping him from continuing his studies because he needs the cer
Stacey breathed out heavily and replied, "That's fine. You should stay away from Helen and don't have anything to do with her. I do not like her, and I will not approve of your affair with her. She is too chubby and will get old easily."Samuel's eyes widened in surprise as he picked up an apron to tie around his neck, but his mother stopped him."What are you trying to do? You just got back from the university, and you're tying the apron. Don't worry; I will make dinner alone," Stacey said, her hand reaching to stop Samuel from tying the apron."You should go and have your bath upstairs. I will make dinner alone," Stacey said, her voice soft, but Samuel shook his head and replied, "No, Mom. I want to help you. I want to learn how to cook so that I can cook for my wife in the future."Stacey's eyes widened in shock at Samuel's statement. She smiled and replied, "Alright. But definitely not that chubby girl from the Roberts family."Samuel smiled as his hands reached for the apron agai
"Wow! That was close! I hadn't expected the crowd. Oh no! I didn't get this from the Kingstons," Helen said, after Senator Jerry had left with his security escort. Her heart was still pounding so loud in her chest.Mrs. Rosemary smiled at her daughter and replied, "It's fine, Helen. What matters is that you saved your father's life.""Alright, Mom," Helen breathed out heavily. Just then, she got a message alert that her food had arrived, but she was nervous to leave the hospital room."I will help you get it, sister," Patrick offered, as he was relieved to see his father was fine and better. The physiotherapist doctor had come to check on him and said he would resume his physiotherapy the following day before he got discharged from the hospital.Helen was grateful as she gave her older brother her phone to receive the two meals that she had ordered. She ordered one for him and for herself, since her parents had already eaten. She saw that her father's illness had taken a toll on Patri
"Dad, all that aside, where do we get the money to pay up the 50 million dollars that you lost, and who is the man that scammed you? You need to help the police with their investigation," Patrick said, as he had already hired two security men to stand by his father's hospital room door."You're right. I will give you all his information after I am done eating," Mr. Henry replied, while Patrick sighed with relief.Helen was famished, so she went to sit down on the chair that her mother had stood up from."Mom, why were brothers Paul, Zion, and Caleb mad at me when I arrived earlier?" She asked, her eyes fixated on her parents' faces.Patrick and their mother, Rosemary, frowned after they heard Helen's inquiry."Helen, it's because your father willed his company to you," Rosemary replied calmly."What?" Helen's eyes widened in shock, and her parents smiled at her."That's true, Helen. You're a pharmacist, and I want you to work there after your graduation from the university. I believe
Helen's heart softened under her mother's warm embrace. She hadn't expected that her father would automatically recover and even be able to talk and move his hands and legs on his own—something that he had not been able to do on his own before."Helen, do you have anything to say to the media? What university did you study with? Is it the well-known renowned University of Science in this city?" An interviewer asked, and Helen got to realize that it was because her father's company went bankrupt, and it was announced on the news that he was owing hundreds of workers' salaries. Not just that, some other hospitals that he was supposed to supply his medicine to, he failed to meet up with the supply. But now that he had been miraculously cured, they hoped that Helen would take over Roberts Pharmaceutical and distribute the medicine to other hospitals with other stroke victims too."Miss Helen! Can you share more insight on how you got this miraculous medicine? Who created it, and what ingr
