But for the first time, Penelope realized that Julian truly cared this much about Sydney's life. Just moments ago, he had personally led men to sweep the entire building with his overwhelming aura, as if his whole world held space only for that "little sister."

Julian ignored the noise outside the door. His thumb brushed away Sydney's tears with unbearable gentleness. "Precious, it's alright now. If you want to cry, then cry as much as you need."
