I rub my eyes against my temples frustrated and worried, I have never missed Nadir's birthday I have always been the first one to sing her a birthday song and present her with a gift but this year I've failed her,

"How could you forget her birthday? This is why she objects to our relationship she is your best buddy and I'm not holding anything against it,

But you placing me her doesn't work well with me, once again you've added to the list of reasons why she doesn't like me"

"I forgot a bit because of you but because …"

"It isn't an excuse even if it wasn't for me you spent time with me what would she think of that? She would say I managed to coax you into doing things my way"

"I'll just …"

"Whatever you have to say we can talk about it later but right now just get your ass out of my house and fix it with her you still have few hours to get it right,

It doesn't need to be a fancy party just a little surprise is okay now get out and be fancy"

He pushes me out the room as I turn to smile at him he waves me off casually not minding me,

I rush out of the house this time I a cab as soon as I sight one I've done enough shifting today all I want to do is run into Nadir 's arms and apologize for being such a dick head,

"Where to sir?"

"Hilltown"

"Aye aye captain" the driver says childishly as he ignites the car engines and zooms off, he light find today funny and interesting but the only thing I find staring right at me is a good beating and riots if rants,

If by all means I miss Nadir 's birthday I would be nagged at for a really long time and she would not kiss the opportunity to tease me for being gay,

One way or another she would find the chance to pick on me and call me names but as fun as all sounds the reality is just as harsh I do not want to miss her birthday she had always been a darling to me standing by me at my worst days,

"Hilltown we are sire, where exactly?" He asks causing me to jerk away from my thoughts and be brought out if my own fancy Dreamland,

"That was fast, just two turns by the right and leave the rest to me" I say leaning back into the chair thinking if I had wither zoned out or maybe he is a lousy and fast driver either ways it works well for me,

"Thanks sir" the driver says as I tip him the amount and leaves the change for him to spend, I would be doomed if I had not found some spare dollars in the pants I'm wearing,

I highlight from the car and hurriedly towards the pack house, everything looking so terrier and silent,

I pull the gates as it scans my left eye as a form of bio data requirements for passing through just for safety purposes,

Rushing into the main house I see couple of people running helter skelter causing me to wait and watch in anticipation,

"Betajason?, The alpha your audience immediately"

"Fuck !!!" I yell as I run my hands through my hairs, I had almost forgot the alpha told me to report to him, maybe Oliver was right about mw placing him in the center of my attention apart from him nothing else matters,

"Where is he?" I ask the Omega who looks shyly away from me,

"The council hall" she says causing me to crease my eyebrows in confusion,

"You are excused" I say to her as she bows slightly and walks past me I look in her direction smirking,

She must be one of the plenty females in this pack that has fallen head over heels for me but what can I say? I'm thankful because I know I'm smoking hot, the shape, size, abs, brains, looks and even the power and authority I've got it all so what is there not to fall for?,

"Quit being a prick and move I do not want to get scolded by the alpha"

I roll my eyes I'm my head knowing the prick of a wolf I have is back to his duties of annoying me,

"Stop bickering for once, just once okay"

"And how long do you expect me to wait ?"

"Screw you" say back to my wolf who sounds a little bit odd,

"That's not the nicest thing to tell an alpha" 

"Shit !!!" I mumble in between breaths I had thought my Annoying wolf wa being annoying just like he normally does I had no idea the alpha had connected to the mindlink,

One of these days that silly wolf of mine would get me killed, I hasten my steps towards the council hall as I proceed to push the doors open,

Immediately I interlock eyes with the alpha who has a cold expression on his face just like always still hard to read,

"Eh ahm" the alpha coughs a little as I vow slightly towards him and the council,

"I'm sorry I rushed here as soon …"

"Keep your apologies to yourself and let's proceed with the meeting " he says curtly cutting into my words, 

I move slowly to stand by his side as the leader to the council Brian clears his throat,

"As you all know there is always a certain ceremony which brings joyful tears mixed with that if sorrow but It is important in each pack and now it's time for alphas Darren to step down for his child Nadir to take place as the new alpha"

"Nadir is just a young lady a teenager at that and a female at most " a council member cuts in causing the alpha to roll his fists into a bump,

"She is a teenager. Who tops her human class and had also balanced her human life with her wolf side equally,

She is a young lady which has all the necessary morals and teachings to be an alpha,

Besides you called her a young lady and as Much as I'm not disputing that fact I need to remind you that this young lady is the daughter to an alpha and one if the best pack warriors in the pack,

To be fair I'll make her soar with the best pack warrior if that is allowed but the council" alpha Darren interjects not liking the whole way his daughter Is being presented,

"And now that we have that included can we move onto the next phase? …"

The meeting finally ends after hours of bickering and repeating the same thing I must say these council members are a handful,

They seem to think they own the pack as they made the alpha seek permission for every little thing he wants to do,

I rush out of the council hall as soon as it's over towards Nadir 's rooms I can hear her faint whispers in the room she seems to be brooding over something,

Probably pissed at me not reaching out to her and now the day is almost over I'm here to wish her a great birthday empty hands with no gifts I don't see how well that would work,

I knock on the door but I get no replies i repeat the same procedure and the result doesn't change still the same silence,

Growing impatient I turn the knob letting myself in surprised to see the fuming soul a second ago sprawling across the bed faking to be asleep,

I move towards he shutting the door behind me wondering why she's pulling such a dumb scheme on me maybe the council member was tad bit right about the teenager part,

"Get up goofy I heard you speaking Earlier"

She seats up immediately almost causing my heart to leap out of my chest in fear,

"What was that about?" I ask her raising my hand to hit her in the head,

"I ought to be asking you what this About, one minute you find Oliver and the rest of us become oblivious? "

"Stop making it sound like that you know I would never forget your birthday"

"Really?"

"Yes absolutely I've been stuck in meeting with your dad all day and as much as I'd love to escape it's my duty and job"

"Sounds genuine and I would have totally fallen for it but I got a text from Oliver earlier and he apologized On your behalf that you forgot and got reminded pretty late,

First you to me and tell Oliver the truth, second what on Earth did you tell him? He sent me a bracelet made of ruby stones is he trying to flaunt his wealth and I don't see my gift"

"Mention away and I'll make it happen"

She smashes leans on me and her lips into mine without pulling away sucking in my tongue hungrily.
