Chapter five

An hour later, it was finally Cassandra and Eloise's turn to go into the room, and the short gentleman from earlier came to the door and invited them in.

"Hello ladies, I'm Max Pittman, and I'm the manager for Blue Moon. Follow me right over here."

When they reached the large room, Cassandra could see the band members, and her eyes shot instantly to Jason Cole.

Eloise was right; he was still as gorgeous now as he was years ago when she first saw him on television. She could see him chatting with his bandmates, Andy and Kyle, smiling away as he showed off his pearly white teeth and crazy sexy dimples.

Their attention turned to Max and the girls as they approached, and Cassandra caught Jason's eyes as they walked toward them. Before Max could even start introductions and get the process started, Jason spoke up first.

"Hello, I'm Jason Cole." He said in a deep voice with a sexy British accent. He stuck his hand out for Cassandra to grab, and at that moment, he just about took her breath away.

His gorgeous blue eyes were so beautiful in person and seemed to sparkle despite the flat fluorescent lighting in the room.

He was nearly a foot taller than she was, and it made her feel so tiny and frail. The tee shirt he was wearing was stretched across his strong, masculine shoulders and clung to the muscles in his upper arms. It took every ounce of being in her to muster up a sentence.

"Pleased to meet you, Mr. Cole. I'm Cassandra Miller and this is my friend Eloise Chesterfield," she said shakily; as she turned her attention toward Eloise so she wouldn't completely drown in the blue abyss of Jason's eyes.

"Please call me Jason," he replied softly, as he shook Eloise's hand but all the while keeping his attention on Cassandra.

"Wow, you are quite stunning if you don't mind me saying so," Jason stated as he looked Cassandra up and down.

Cassandra felt her heart skip a beat at the pure shock of the words that had just rolled off of Jason's lips, not to mention his eyes raking over her entire body. She could feel her face grow hot as she felt a little embarrassed at the same time.

She couldn't believe someone of Jason's stature, who had probably laid eyes on thousands of beautiful women, had just complimented her in such a manner.

Max abruptly interrupted the moment with his robotic-like speech of how the meet and greet would work. He had probably repeated it hundreds of times while on tour, and Cassandra was sure it had just become second nature to him.

Jason quickly cut him off, "Max, are these ladies the last two in the group?"

Max replied dryly, "Yes, but"-

"Then we have a few minutes just to chat, right?" He asked Max rhetorically.

Max immediately backed off as if he knew he probably wouldn't get his way. Jason seemed to have a way of being in complete control without being too bossy about it.

"Well, let me introduce you lovely ladies to Kyle and Andy, my bandmates."

Eloise went right to Andy and stuck her hand out for him to shake it. She had a huge crush on him during the girl's Blue Moon fandom years, and it was obvious she still had "goo-goo" eyes for him as she smiled up at him with the biggest grin Cassandra had ever seen.

Andy's face lit up with a bright smile as he shook Eloise's hand. "So nice to meet you, Eloise."

Cassandra could see Eloise's face turn a flushed pink, and she couldn't help but smile at their innocent yet flirty exchange.

"So, are you, ladies, from around here?" Jason asked curiously; as he turned all of his attention on Cassandra.

"Yes, we live about twenty minutes or so outside of the city, over in Ripton Park," Cassandra replied quietly. She was starting to feel very fan-girly.

She couldn't believe she was standing there having a conversation with none other than Jason Cole, her teenage idol.

The man she had plastered all over her walls throughout four years of high school.

Yet, however famous he was, Jason seemed very down to earth and began to make her feel at ease as they continued to exchange small talk.

Just a few feet away, Eloise was chatting it up with Andy and Kyle and seemed to be having the time of her life.

A few minutes later, Max stormed back into the room just as quickly as he had left and interrupted their conversation with a stern voice.

"Okay, fellas, I've got to get these ladies out of here so you can get ready for the show tonight."

Max hurriedly guided the girls back across the room toward the exit giving them time only to turn and wave goodbye.

"Thank you!" Eloise shouted behind her as Max practically shoved them out the door.

Cassandra turned back to take one last look at the band as she was ushered out into the hallway and saw Jason's eyes on her as the door slammed shut in her face.

For a few minutes, both girls paused in silence as they were taking in what had just happened in the meeting room. Eloise was the first one to break the silence.

"Holy shit, Cassie!" she exclaimed, "Can you believe that? We just hung out with Blue Moon!"

"I would never have believed in a million years that this meet and greet would have turned out like this!" Cassandra responded to her friend, almost giddy.

"I'm even more excited for this concert now," chimed Eloise. "Oh, and by the way... our seats are in the front row!"

Cassandra smiled at her friend's surprise and let out a little squeal of excitement. She felt like a school girl again and had not thought about Johnathan for hours. S

She owed Eloise a big thank you for this night; it was definitely turning out to be one she would remember for years to come.

The girls made their way down the long corridor, then straight out to where the line was starting to form to get inside the seating area for the concert.

It was a large arena, and Eloise stated that the concert had been sold out for months. There were fans lined up starting inside the lobby and then led outside onto the sidewalk and wrapped their way around the building.

Luckily with the meet and greet passes, this also allowed them VIP access to their seats so they could go to the front of the line and not have to wait behind everyone.

The girls milled around the lobby for a little while. They checked out the concert merchandise and observed the thwarts of fans that were waiting in anticipation to get to their seats.

The doors finally opened, and everyone eagerly showed their tickets and shoved their way past one another to get to their assigned seating.

Cassandra and Eloise waited until about 15 minutes before the show started to go back in because they figured it would be more fun to people watch than to sit in a dark arena listening to the generic music they played over the loudspeakers before the show.

Cassandra and Eloise finally decided it was time to go in, and as they walked past hundreds of other fans to get to their seats, Cassandra couldn't help but feel a little special.

She knew the other fans would give their left kidney to have those seats, and it made her stand a little taller and prouder, making that long walk down to the very front.
