Chapter 9

Freya went straight to the restroom after her confrontation with Jacob to get dressed. When she changed her clothes, she looked at herself in the mirror. She was still panting while her chest was heaving. She ran fast earlier because she was afraid that Jacob would follow her. To this moment, she was still nervous.

"Good thing I wasn't with Yael earlier," said Freya. She gently removed the contact lenses from her eyes to make herself more comfortable.

"Freya," Diana called.

Freya accidentally put one of her contact lenses in pieces. She thought it was Ivana who called her name. She sighed when she saw the kindhearted woman.

"Ma'am, where is Yael?" asked Freya.

"I took him to your room first because he said he was sleepy. Don't worry, my bodyguard is watching outside your room. Anyway, have you had lunch yet?" said Diana.

"Not yet,” Freya replied.

"What are you doing Freya, don't be too courteous to me. You are even older than me," Diana said laughing. "By the way, Yael and I had lunch
