The smell of burning rubber hit the pavement hard as my convertible sped up and out of sight. Mario's was following closely behind from what I could see in the rear view mirror, and Diaz and the rest of the men still on the sand, unconscious.

"Who are you?!" Andrea demanded, picking up my handgun and aiming it at me. With one hand on the wheel, I put the other over the gun and brought it down. "Answer me, damn it!"

Taking the gun away from her hand, I put it back in my shirt pocket. "I think you should know me quite well, Andrea."

"That's An-dray-ah!" She screamed. "I'm sick of people pronouncing my name wrong all the time. I'm not like those simple Californians out there who give out basic names like that. Now answer my question!"
