เข้าสู่ระบบ"You're so spoiled, boss, my goodness!" Noreen said in an irritated tone.
"I don't want to eat, why do you keep forcing me!" Thiery snapped, annoyed. "But you have to take your medicine, sir," Noreen said, grabbing a tissue and wiping Thiery's porridge-stained lips. "It's dangerous if your stomach is empty. Mr. Beta Sander said you haven't eaten since yesterday." Noreen's brows furrowed as she looked at Thiery, who was leaning back on his bed with his eyes closed. Noreen asked one of the mansion's servants to make some porridge so her boss could eat and take his medicine, but after three mouthfuls, he vomited the porridge back into the bowl and kept his mouth shut, avoiding the spoon in Noreen's hand. Noreen felt like she was taking care of Jonathan when her son was unwell. So spoiled and fussy. Of course, Noreen, they're father and son, Noreen said to herself, in her mind. Thiery opened his eyes. "If you want to help me get better, just hug me. It's so cold." Noreen narrowed her eyes, glaring at Thiery with an annoyed expression. "You're such a pervert, sir, even when you're sick like this, you're still trying to harass me!" "Gosh," Thiery muttered breathlessly. "I'm almost freezing to death, and you're still accusing me of that. Just go away then!" Thierry pulled the blanket over his head, struggling to stifle the shivers beneath the four thick blankets. "Alpha T, you should talk to her nicely," Dash complained softly. "What if she really leaves? It's already quite warm, just with her around." "Oh, shut up, Dash," Thiery muttered. "At least you can still hide under your thick fur, while I have to swallow that paper-tasting porridge." "As if you've ever eaten paper," Dash sneered. "Go to sleep and stop complaining. I'm exhausted from shivering!" Thiery hissed. Meanwhile, Noreen heard noises under the blankets, thinking Thiery was asleep and delirious. She touched the blankets and felt a subtle vibration. "Oh my God, he's covered with four blankets, yet he's shivering and delirious?" Noreen muttered in confusion. "What's going on? Is it really that cold? What if he's hypothermic?" Noreen panicked, not knowing what to do. Thiery's fever should have been warm, but in reality, he was so cold, like ice, that he was shivering. Just hug him, Noreen. It's for healing, not for anything else like you think. Or maybe you're the one with the perverted thoughts, one part of Noreen's mind thought. But, would a hug alone get him better? He's not Jonathan, who's the body so little. He is so big. I'd probably be crushed by him, another side of Noreen's mind thought. But Noreen stepped under the covers and, in the darkness, touched Thiery's shivering back. "Gosh, even with four layers of blankets, it feels cool," Noreen murmured. She reached up, pulled the covers down so they weren't covering Thiery's head, and gently wrapped her right arm around his shoulders and tucked her left hand under his neck like a pillow. Noreen's heart was beating twice, no, three times faster than usual, as she felt Thiery slowly move closer to her. She was sure that if there were a mirror in front of her, she would be shocked to see her own face, probably as red as an overripe tomato. But after five minutes, Noreen was surprised to find that Thiery seemed to be no longer shivering and his breathing had become more regular. She also felt a strange sense of comfort, and it made Noreen drowsy. She closed her eyes and drifted into a deep sleep. When Noreen woke two hours later, she was confused. Where was she? What was this warmth that was making her body feel so relaxed? Noreen's eyes fell on the broad chest next to her and she immediately realized that her position had changed. Noreen had moved. She was in Thiery's arms, and it seemed he was fine, as the blankets were no longer covering them, and Thiery wasn't shivering anymore. "S-sir, I have to w-wake up," Noreen muttered nervously, moving again, trying to wriggle out of Thiery's arms. Thiery mumbled heavily. "No. Stay like this until my body heat returns. Be still, Noreen. You're so small, like a plump." "P-plum? Oh my," Noreen muttered. "You should just say thank you, instead of mocking me." "That's my way of saying thank you," Thiery said, tightening his embrace, and then his soft snores could be heard again. Noreen couldn't believe how someone so cold and shivering under four blankets could recover to normal just because she held him? Jonathan was like that too. If he was sick, Noreen only had to hold him all night, and the next morning he would be fine, back to normal. Maybe it was the same thing Jonathan had done to her before he left, the healing power of suggestion. While Noreen was thinking about that, Thiery moved slowly and kissed Noreen's forehead. "What are you thinking about, making your forehead wrinkle so much?" Thiery asked, kissing Noreen's forehead again. "Uh, sir, if you're feeling better, could you stop hugging me?" Noreen said, pushing Thiery's chest lightly. "Besides, I have to go to the bathroom." Thierry let out a long groan, but he released Noreen and pulled himself up, sitting against the headboard, while Noreen quickly got up and ran to the bathroom. "You still have doubts, Alpha? That she's your mate?" Dash asked. His voice sounded normal. "She got over your terrible rut with just her hug!" Thiery sighed. "I don't know. I've already taken Edmont's medicine, so maybe it was just a coincidence." "Never mind," Dash said irritably. "I'm not talking to you anymore. You're the most stubborn Alpha I've ever known. My energy just recovered, and now I have to waste it arguing with you!" Thiery didn't say anything, even though he knew Dash was really pissed off at him this time. Thiery had just set foot on the floor when Noreen emerged from the bathroom. "Sir, I'm not being presumptuous," Noreen said, walking over. "But why are there pictures of wolves everywhere Bradley is associated? Even in the bathroom?" Thiery's eyebrows raised. "Why? You don't like wolves?" Noreen shrugged. "Well, I don't have any particular feelings about it. They're just animals, right? Just like cats, koalas, giraffes. I'm just curious and think, If that wolves were human, maybe they'd have NPD." "They're my ancestors, Noreen, not just any animals!" Thiery hissed angrily. Noreen was shocked by Thiery's words and attitude. She felt goosebumps running down her spine. "Oh, sorry, sir, I didn't mean to offend you. I've never heard of someone's ancestor being a wolf?" Noreen said, confused. Thiery bit the inside of his cheek. "Do you believe me?" Noreen stared at Thiery for a moment, then stepped closer, standing directly in front of him. She reached out and placed her palm on Thiery's forehead. "I'll assume you're still sick, even though your body seems to be back to normal," Noreen said. "Now, I'm going to make some porridge, and you have to eat it all! No more vomiting!" They were shocked by Noreen's fierce attitude. "I don't want to eat por—" Noreen raised her index finger and waved it in front of Thiery's face. "Then I'm going home. If you get cold again, just hug your fireplace. Huh! I'm a designer, not a heater! Call me when you're ready to give me some drawing and design work!" Noreen stomped angrily, then turned to walk away, but Thiery reached out and grabbed Noreen's hand. Noreen turned and glared fiercely. "WHAT?" Thierry swallowed. "I want... Uh... Seafood porridge." Dash chuckled."I think you should keep your distance from him, Noreen," Lisbeth said worriedly. "I don't believe in those romantic stories in popular novels these day can became real in life. A CEO and a heartbroken woman have a one-night stand, separate ways, then meet again, and the CEO insists on marrying her because he can't get over it.""Hmm," Noreen muttered. "Although the one-night stand part between the CEO and the heartbroken woman did happen, the rest is just trouble.""Tsk, you're really good at getting into trouble, Noreen," Lisbeth said. "So, what about your work? Is everything okay?""Well, nothing too difficult," Noreen said. "Basically, Thiery could do everything himself if he wanted to, but his company is spread all over the place, and I guess that means he can't focus on just one place, so he has a lot of dedicated staff."Lisbeth laughed. "So, if it weren't for the fact that you and him slept together, you wouldn't be that special, right?"Noreen grinned and nodded. "He even sa
Noreen felt truly uncomfortable. The woman called Ava was so beautiful and sexy, like a model from a men's magazine come to life.Look, the size of her breasts and butt, wow, I feel like a teenager just entering puberty in front of her, Noreen said to herself as she met the woman's sharp gaze."You've never brought any of your staff or employees here," Ava said, addressing Thiery. "Who is she?""Noreen is a special staff member who helped me with the Class A renovation project my father entrusted me with before he... left," Thiery said. "Why are you here, Ava? Is something important?"Ava glanced at Noreen with an unfriendly look. "Can we talk privately? I feel like outsiders shouldn't hear what I'm about to tell you."Thiery didn't answer. He turned to Noreen. "Noreen, please wait for me in the car and also make some notes about some changes of the second floor of Mr. Roman's mansion, as we discussed earlier. We'll need to email it, but we'll need to make several copies because he'
"It's been like this since it was built, about 200 years ago," Thiery said. "Nothing has been added, except for repairs here and there, minor additions and changes made little by little.""I've never seen a centuries-old palace in its original form in my life," Noreen said. "Look at that, the stones are real natural stone, aren't they?""This isn't a palace," Thiery said. "It's just been called the Golden Moonlight Mansion from the beginning. Palaces are supposed to be bigger than this.""But this mansion even has a tower like in the story of Rapunzel," Noreen muttered. " How many people live here?""Just me, Sander, three other Betas, 18 servants, six cooks, 12 groundskeepers, and about 30 security guards. My two nephews, a few cousins, and my father come over occasionally," Thiery replied. He unfolded a heavy dining chair. "Sit down.""Oh my," Noreen muttered. "Boss, you really are a king from a fairy tale, aren't you? This is modern times, and there are still people living like yo
"This is the third revised kitchen and kitchen set design. So after this, no more revisions are allowed unless the client renews the contract and adds a revision fee," Noreen said, pointing at the image on the screen.Thiery said nothing, simply studying the design on the screen carefully. He admired Noreen's ability to create beautiful, artistic, and detailed designs, and to accommodate the client's wishes so well.Another skill Noreen possessed that other designers didn't: she was also able to bring her designs to life, perfectly accurate, down to the smallest detail, without missing a single detail."Excellent," Thiery said after a moment. "Just send it to them and ask for their immediate approval so we can get started.""Yes, sir, I'll contact them this afternoon," Noreen said with relief. She had heard of Thiery's reputation for being difficult to please when it came to his work and his meticulous attention to detail, often leading to stress for his careless staff. That's why eve
Sleep.Noreen stared at Thiery sleeping beside her, her brows furrowed. She regretted her own incoherent thoughts when Thiery asked her to sleep with him.Tsk, it's not my fault, Noreen thought to herself. He kissed me so passionately and then asked me to sleep with him, of course I'd think about that. Who didn't?The other side of Noreen's mind laughed at her. It's because you haven't been touched by a man in a long time, Noreen, that your desire rises so quickly just from a kiss.Noreen sighed and got up, sitting on the edge of the bed. She felt thirsty. The room had air conditioning, but Noreen felt hot. She could even feel her armpits and cleavage sweating."Where are you going?"Noreen almost fell over when she heard Thiery's voice behind her. She turned around and met his gaze, staring at her."Thirsty," Noreen said. "I want a drink."Thiery moved and sat up on the bed. His hair was messy and his eyes were half-closed, but Noreen's heart was beating faster at how handsome he lo
"...will be fired. Just imagine how panicked I was when he suddenly collapsed after I fed him that chocolate cake!"Lisbeth took a deep breath. "That's what made me worried about leaving you alone. You're so reckless.""But that cake was really delicious, Lis. The best chocolate cake I've ever eaten in my life.""Oh, silly girl, it tastes good to you, but it's actually poisonous to him. Even your son is allergic to chocolate, though not as severely as your boss.""Oh come on, Lis, how would I have known he was allergic to chocolate? With his tall, big, and imposing frame, who would have thought he could be knocked down by chocolate? It wasn't even real chocolate. Double chocolate cake. Well, double, but still, just a cake."Thierry listened to Noreen's phone conversation with someone else, while still pretending to faint. He was actually annoyed with himself because, as Noreen had said, he had collapsed because of chocolate.Well, it was embarrassing, but who could blame him? Noreen c
