Giselle felt heat spread throughout her body, a tingling sensation settling in her lower section as Ezra moved his lip. Her mind blurred and her struggles reduced.
Just as she felt her legs slowly start to lose strength, Ezra wrapped his arm around her waist, hoisting her up and pressing her back against the wall as he deepened the kiss, probing her shut mouth for entrance with his tongue.
When she still denied him entrance, Ezra slipped his hand underneath her robe and slowly dragged his finger up her thigh, stopping near her womanhood and giving her thigh a harsh squeeze.
Giselle gasped at the action, allowing him to slip his tongue into her mouth.
Ezra didn’t stop there, he begun to rub his thumb in circular motion on her thigh. The contact brought a burning sensation on Giselle’s skin and she felt her insides clench as she fought to hold back involuntary moans.
When Ezra pulled back, they were both out of breath and Giselle looked like she was about to cry as her long lashes fluttered.
The brunette harshly shoved Ezra away and adjusted the lower section of her robe.
“What the hell?” Giselle wiped her lips with the back of her hand. It burned. Everywhere he touched felt feverish. “Why’d you do that?” She stared Ezra hard in the eyes as she panted.
“I needed to confirm something.” Ezra voiced, still rooted in the spot Giselle had shoved him to.
“By kissing me? Don’t forget Mr. Heinrich, what we have right now is nothing more than an engagement bound by a contract. I have nothing to lose if I decide to terminate it here and now, but you on the other hand…” Giselle reminded. Being just an engagement of different benefits, Giselle wanted no moment of intimacy, or even the slightest chance to let either of them catch feelings. Even though she knew it was next to impossible for Ezra to ever view her as more than some random girl his parents had chosen for their son to marry. “Don’t be bizarre.”
Ezra sighed. Why wouldn’t she stop talking and let him think.
It was a simple as that.
“Won’t you cooperate, Giselle?” Ezra breathed out, exhausted and all.
The brunette felt her body tense at the sound of her name leaving his mouth, tainted by his slight German accent.
“C…cooperate?” She stuttered out. “No. Now please leave, I want to sleep.”
Ezra stayed quiet for a moment.
He was ninety-nine percent sure that Giselle was the woman he had been searching for. The moon tattoo, her velvet tasting lips, she being at the hotel the same time he had been drugged and checked in. It all seemed to much to be a mere coincidence.
So the thought of Giselle being the woman and him scaring her off then the game ending too early, baffled him. He didn’t want that.
After a moment of silence, Ezra sighed and nodded. “Fine. I’ll leave.”
Giselle let a sigh of relief slip pass her lips as she watched Ezra turn around and match towards the door, only stopping once to turn the door knob and step out.
Once Giselle heard the closing click of her door, she strode towards her bed with wobbly legs and her knees gave out.
Ezra was gone but his presence and the effect he had left on her body still remained.
Giselle hated how her body responded to his touch. It was as if he had some sort of spell cast over her.
Shaking away her thoughts, she got under the blanket and readied herself for sleep.
*********
Giselle had woken up before her phone set alarm. By the time the alarm had decided to ring, the brunette was half way across the living room, trying her best to leave undetected.
Ring!
The overly loud ringtone of her iPhone went off, vibrating in the back pocket of her blue Demi jeans.
“Shit, shit, shit.” Giselle cursed as she fished out the device, fumbling with it for a while before successfully switching the alarm off.
She sighed and this time slipped the phone into her small hand bag.
“Are you going somewhere?”
Ezra’s voice startled her, causing her to flinch to the point of jumping.
Apparently, he had woken up earlier than her six-thirty alarm.
The brunette examined her, surprised that his presence had given her such a start.
Ezra had one hand tucked in his pocket, the other holding a cup of black coffee. And surprisingly Jubril stood behind him.
The assistant bowed at her to acknowledge her presence, to which she nodded.
“Going somewhere?” Ezra repeated.
“Yes. Work.” Giselle responded and the scene from last night flashed in her mind. Once again she found herself look at everything except from the brunette standing in front of her.
Ezra turned his head towards Jubril. “Have the driver drop her off.” He commanded.
“No!” Giselle instantly objected, gesturing with her hand. “There won’t be any need for that, I can easily find my way there.” She added and smiled, staring in his direction until he locked gaze with her and her ears began to redden.
‘Stupid mind, stop remembering.’ She internally scolded herself, redirecting her gaze to the floor.
Ignoring Giselle’s protest, Ezra ordered again. “Have the driver take one of the cars and drop her off.”
“But I insist.” Giselle desperately wanted to leave.
Even though she wasn’t the one who had instigated the incident last night, she couldn’t bear to face him.
Ezra quietly stared at her as Jubril excused himself, leaving her to conclude that her voice was invalid.
“Okay. Fine. Yeah, just let the driver drop me off.” Giselle gave in walked towards the door.
Seeing as Giselle was about to leave, Ezra grabbed her by the arm, wanting to give her as vague explanation as possible about why he had kissed her.
Ezra’s action surprised her and on instinct, she rushed back and yanked her arm free, in the process, tripping over her foot and falling back.
Giselle closed her eyes, awaiting the impact of the collision. However, a pair of firm and sturdy arms wrapped themselves around her waist, balancing her on her feet once more.
When Giselle’s eyes fluttered open, Ezra’s handsome face was right in front of hers.
Her heart was beating wildly at the closeness of their face and lips in general.
The scene of last night once again flashed through her mind and as Ezra slowly leaned in and tilted his head to the side, panic shot through her body and she slammed her eyes shut.
~Four Months Later~The blazing hot sun of autumn's last days shone through the window of a bridal room, basking the wooden floor board below in it glorious golden glow. But despite the beautiful day and joyous occasion about to begin, chaos and panic ensued with the four walls of that very room.It was about thirty minutes to the start of the days special occasion, yet the star woman was no where to be seen, and the noirette who had so willingly agreed to be her chiefs bridesmaid was currently in a full on panic.Evelyn had one job. A rather simple one if you asked anyone. And what was it? She had to make sure the bride was dressed, ready, and okay to walk down the isle with her father beside her by the time the hour and minute hand struck eleven."Babe?" In walked Gregory after several knocks on the door only to see the noirette searching far and wide with a panicked look on her face."Hey... hey did you lose something important?" Gregory asked, finally catching his girlfriend in hi
Jogging towards the room Giselle and her father were being held captive in, Ezra could almost feel everything ending. He couldn't already envision his and Giselle's peaceful life after everything was over, and as he turned the finally corner, seeing the room just up head, the brunette stock up a mental note, reminding himself to bring up the topic of adopting Grendel and Jason in the later future. Those two were happy fur balls, who'd be able to take their eyes off them after a single visit. Finally reaching the room, Ezra banged his fist against it and called out. "Giselle? Mr. Cornwell?" His call was answered by two voices from the inside, calming his beating heart as they were the two voices he had anticipated to hear.Stepping back, Ezra kicked the door twice, the metal gate coming down at his third and final kick.Giselle felt like the heavens had sent her very own guardian angel as Ezra walked in, the door laying beneath his feet as he marched in, not wasting a second as he sped
The ground felt cold and hard as Giselle helplessly sat on it. Maybe it was the after effect of Gregory's betrayal that made the concrete below seem more chilly than usual, or it could just be the fact that winter was right around the corner. The brunette didn't know, and she didn't want to know.Bringing her knees up, she buried her face in between them, feeling helpless as usual. The brunette's moment of sulking was cut short when movement from the other end and the sound of muffled breathing caught her attention."Who's there?" She asked, squinting her eyes in the dark room and slightly back up towards the door. Her question was answered by another series of muffled noise, propelling the petit woman to stand up from the floor and slowly advance forward, away from her current position. When Giselle had reached a certain distance, closer to the person which she now realized was tied to a chair and gagged at the mouth, her eyes widened, instantly recognizing the person there."Dad!" T
"Game over Ezra." Archie crackled like a hyena, souring the mood of Ezra, Giselle and Evelyn.Giselle's eyes fluttered in disbelieve, feeling her insides turn as she stared at Gregory, who in return stared back without any form of remorse.'Freaking Traitor.' Giselle thought, only having the courage to pull her gaze off the noirette after several minutes of staring.Gregory was right; never trust anyone until you know what they harbor in their heart. But if only she had applied that method sooner... way sooner than Ethan and Raquel, maybe then, she wouldn't have moved with the worse set of people."Fucking traitors." The brunette spat in a low rumble, gaining the attention of the villainess herself."What was that?" The blonde asked as she stepped forward, leaning in with her ear in a taunting manner.Giselle could have swore there was a voice in her head telling her to leap forward and chew off the spinster's ear."You all are bunch of fucking traitors. Disgusting." She voiced her in
Evelyn hid in a corner as she sent the address to Gregory's number. She was silently regretting not turning off the flash of her camera, as that was what had put her in the situation which she currently was in. It had all happened so fast, all she wanted to do was take a simple picture as evidence, exposing all or one third of Archie's evil plans and misdeed to the authorities, as per the first half of their plans, but then that was when it happened, the moment she took the photo containing their evidence, her flash went off, alerting Archie and her thugs. The noirette didn't waste a second there and took off, hearing the witch herself bark orders, probably to catch her and bring her back, she didn't want to find out.So now, here she was, running and hiding, praying that Gregory would get to her location on time before she became dog food."This is gonna cost more than a bowl of noodles Giselle." The noirette silently whispered to herself as she peaked out from her hiding spot, a ser
"Don't play dumb with me Gregory. Ezra wakes up one morning then suddenly decides to make a run for it? Fine, let me rephrase my question." Giselle stepped in close, raising her head to meet Gregory's gaze. "You know where your sister is holding my father, don't you?"Gregory blinked his eyes, secretly surprised at how quick the brunette had caught up to things.'Was she always this quick.' He questioned himself."Gregory, you know something that I don't, where are they?" Giselle questioned the more, stepping in closer, the questioned male standing his ground and holding her gaze, his blue orbs boring into hers as her green ones searched his."What makes you so confident?" He suddenly questioned, causing Giselle to furrow her brows. "My sister committed a crime for the sake of love, as her relative, shouldn't you fear me?"The brunette tilted her head, lost to as why he was now uttering nonsense."What? No. You're not the type to do such." She uttered, hoping to push down the rising a
The sound of quiet and tired snoring filed the rather silent room. Light dimed to perfection and A.C chilling, Ezra silently watched his fiancée sleep, carefully playing with her hair as not to wake her up.If words could describe the emotions running around in his heart, Ezra would have found it easy to put them into words. With a sigh, the brunette slid under the duvet, embracing the body of his fiancée and earning a hum from her as he buried his face into the crock of her neck."Ezra?" Giselle called out groggily, still overcome by sleep. "You're still up?"Ezra hummed into her neck in disagreement. "It's just..." the brunette paused on his words, rethinking his choice of words before continuing. "...nothing."Giselle hummed in understanding, too tired to form actual words. When Ezra saw that she was falling back asleep, he cradled her more in his arms, pulling her closer and seeking her body's warmth as he spoke. "Don't worry, it'd all be over by tomorrow."Giselle heard those wor
The sound of phone ringing disturbed Evelyn from her peaceful evening sleep. The noirette stirred in the bed, reluctant to answer the phone, seeing as today was one of her rare days off. After the phone rang for an extra few minutes, she groaned and turned around, feeling around the bed for the noise making device."Hello?" She asked after picking up the phone, making no effort to check the caller's ID."Hey, Evelyn, it's me."Her eyes snapped open, brown orbs enlarging as she pulled back and glanced at the caller, series of slurred curses left her mouth as she pushed her body up, resting her back against the bedrest of her bed. "What do you want, Fisher? Never thought you'll go fishing for my number, am I really that stunning."Gregory wasn't sure what made him chuckle, the fact that she'd believe he actually searched for her number, or the fact that she choose to stick with his surname even after he had insisted that she call him on a casual basis.Hearing him chuckle from the other
Giselle spent the next hour or so listening to people question her. At some point in time things started to look like the poor girl was being interrogated. Weren't they meant to be doing other jobs instead of questioning her?"That's enough." She mumbled under her breath, gaze solely trained on the back of her Fiancée as he too seemed to be undergoing the same procedure as her, and from his reactions, she didn't think it was going well."Pardon?" The female officer asked as she took a step forward, halting what she had been writing into her jolt pad.Tearing her gaze away, Giselle coldly answered. "I said that's enough.""But Ms. Heinrich...""She said that's enough." Ezra interrupted the officer as he walked over, finally done with his own part of the questioning, and might i tell you, it didn't go pleasantly. The officer cowered under Ezra's gaze, but nonetheless, she dared to speak. "Mr. Heinrich, forgive me but this is the normal procedures. It has to be carried out accordingly as
