"Is this right?" I said to Jenifer while picking up two boxes of beer.

"Y-yeah I guess so?" Jen replied, sounding unsure.

"You're not sure, right?" I said to Jen while we were choosing some snacks.

"Henry, are you really sure about this? Because we can’t afford to get scolded again and starved," I said, while he just kept smiling.

"You know, the guys in the grocery are staring at us," he said, making us look at him.

"And what's the big deal about it?" Jenifer asked him.

He suddenly stopped and looked at us like we were super slow.

"Of course, you’re fair-skinned and beautiful, and I’m handsome," he said with a wide grin at me.

We looked at his face as if we couldn’t believe what he was saying.

Is he for real? What did he eat to think like that? He looks like a fool.

"We’re very sorry, but that’s not true," Jenifer said.

"What’s not true?" Henry asked her.

"That you’re handsome," Jenifer replied.

I laughed at what Jen said.
