Ethan Greenwood

It was hard to explain the sensations Mia made me feel. With her pressed against the wall, so close that I could feel the heat of her skin, my hands firmly placed beside her head, creating an impenetrable barrier. Our breaths were uneven, interrupted by the desire that hung in the air around us. I watched her, every detail of her expression, from the fear in her eyes to the slight tremble of her lips. There was something about her that awakened a primal need in me, something I had never felt with anyone else. She was different, and that irritated me as much as it attracted me.

The smell of this human was intriguing. My fingers clenched against the wall beside her head, fighting against the impulse to touch her. I felt torn between the part of me that wanted to protect her and the part that wanted to claim her for myself, without thinking of the consequences.

An Alpha doesn’t let himself be carried away by feelings, especially by a human. But there was something in Mia that defied my cold and calculated logic.

“You have no idea what you’re doing to me, human,” I murmured, my voice coming out rougher than I intended. “But I’m not good for you. And that... that infuriates me.”

I was too close, so close I could smell the soft scent of her perfume mixed with the unique aroma of her skin. A perfume that had haunted me since the first time we met. She was human, but there was something in her that awakened my wolf side in a way no other woman had ever done.

I leaned in even closer, until my lips almost brushed the soft curve of her neck. “Tell me, Mia,” I continued, my voice low, laden with suppressed desire. “Don’t you feel the same? This fire that consumes everything around us?”

She didn’t answer right away, but I could feel the rapid beat of her heart, the fear mixed with something else. Something I couldn’t name, but that was there, between us.

My whole body was tense, every muscle prepared for what would follow. On one hand, I knew I should pull away, give her the space she needed to process everything she had just discovered. But on the other hand, the desire to have her, to claim her, was almost unbearable.

She finally looked into my eyes, her breath coming in short gasps, and broke the silence.

“Do you know why I slept with you that night? Why I was in that bar?” Her voice was laden with a mixture of anger and vulnerability.

“Why?” I asked, fixing my eyes on hers, trying to understand the storm that was running through her mind.

She hesitated for a moment before answering. “I was running away. I had just found out that Collin, the man I planned a future with, betrayed me. And not only that... there was a mortgage, and everything I thought was safe was crumbling.”

Her words hit me like a blow, but it wasn’t the story that surprised me. It was the fact that, even with all that mess, she had turned to me. A human, in her most vulnerable moment, had chosen the Alpha of a pack, without even knowing who or what he was.

I moved closer to her, the tension growing, my body practically glued to hers. “And now, Mia? What are you going to do?”

She looked into my eyes, and for a moment, I thought she was going to push me away, run again. But instead, her voice came out in a whisper, carrying all the intensity of the moment. “What are you going to do, Ethan?”

My answer came without hesitation, as if it were the only thing that made sense in that moment. “Kiss you now. Fuck everything else.”

The moment our lips met, everything around us lost meaning. Logic, reason, all were swallowed by the uncontrollable desire that pulsed through my veins. It was as if the wolf inside me, always so contained and disciplined, had finally given in to the urgency of claiming Mia. It howled in my chest, demanding that I take her right then, without waiting, without thinking.

Every touch, every movement, was fierce, as if time was against us. My hands slid down her back, pulling her closer, while her fingers intertwined in my hair, intensifying the connection between us. The wolf inside me was starving, and every second away from her felt like an eternity. I needed to feel her, possess her, as if my own existence depended on it.

We stumbled through the hall, breathless, with no pause. The doors were kicked open, and our bodies fell onto the bed, still entwined. Her scent filled the air, intoxicating, stirring my most primal instincts. The wolf inside me felt that Mia was his, and only his.

Clothes were torn off carelessly, without hesitation. My skin against hers, hot and soft, sent waves of pleasure through my body. Every touch, every kiss, was an explosion of sensations, and the wolf inside me growled in satisfaction, finally feeling he had claimed what was his by right. It was a battle between control and need, but that night, need won.

When our bodies finally united, it was as if the world had stopped. The wolf was satisfied, but the man... the man was lost. The intensity of the moment, the overwhelming connection, was more than I could have predicted. And as the night unfolded, I lost myself completely in her.

“Don’t stop, Ethan,” she sighed, breathless, her hands digging into my back.

“I won’t stop until you get there, human.”

The next morning, I woke up with my body still heavy from the pleasure of the night before, but something was wrong. The space beside me was empty. The wolf inside me, which had been roaring in satisfaction, now felt the emptiness like an open wound. Mia was gone. She wasn’t there anymore.

The sheet beside me was still wrinkled, with the heat of her body, but she was no longer there. A part of me knew this wasn’t right. The connection we felt, the overwhelming desire, all of that should have been different. But the urgency, from both the wolf and the man, had overshadowed any judgment. Now, all that remained was uncertainty about what would follow. After all, we had a child together.

I let out a long, controlled sigh as I watched Esther, my younger sister, arranging her bags in the room. Despite being siblings, there were moments when I forgot how relentless she could be, her temperament often mirroring my own."Did you have to make that scene?" I asked, crossing my arms and staring at her seriously."What scene, Ethan?" She turned around, raising an eyebrow with a hint of challenge."That thing you did in front of Mia," I replied, trying to keep my tone controlled, but unable to completely hide my irritation.Esther looked at me with that analytical gaze that always made me feel like I was under a magnifying glass. "She's human. I just found it strange, Ethan. You never brought women into this house, which used to be our parents', let alone a human."I knew she was right. This house was sacred to us, a place that carried memories of our family, and I had always kept it closed off, even to myself. Bringing Mia here, letting her into my life and the house where we

It all seemed like a fantasy."We've arrived," Ethan announces as the car stops. We're in front of a dense forest area. "Welcome to Estes Park.""Is this a reserve?" I ask, observing everything around."Yes. We've lived here, werewolves have hidden here since we settled in Colorado," Ethan replies, his voice full of conviction."And... how does no one know you exist?" My curiosity is stronger than my fear."Simple, Mia. With the right people, you can hide even the worst of secrets. We're careful. Ethan turned to me, his expression no less severe. "Are you okay?"I wanted to scream at him, ask why he always did this—made decisions for me, put me in impossible situations, and expected me to just accept it. But instead, I just nodded. I was tired of fighting. Lorenzo was with me, and that was all that mattered at that moment."Is this going to happen often?" I asked, trying to keep calm. "People from your pack hating me just because I’m human?"He sighed and ran a hand through his hair."There will be resistance, yes. They're not used to this. Ethan GreenwoodThe trip back was quieter than I expected. Mia was visibly disturbed after the confrontation with Amber and the strange events from the night before. But as much as it bothered me, I had more urgent matters to take care of. Nick had mentioned something about the investigations, something that could change the game.As soon as we arrived in the city, Lorenzo ran straight into Esther's arms, and she welcomed him with a warm smile. That gave me the time I needed to take care of what truly mattered. Nick was waiting for me, as promised.“Mia,” I called as she prepared to head in another direction. “You’re coming with me.”She blinked, surprised. “Where to?”“To see the bar’s accounts. It’s time for you to start understanding how things work around here.”She hesitated but didn’t argue. She knew that when I made a decision, there was no turning back.“Okay.”As we walked together to the office, I felt that something was different about her. Mia, usually so talkative, was un

I clasp my hands together and ask... if the Moon Goddess, who they always talk about in the pack, really exists, to save me from this and take me back to Lorenzo. The car stopped abruptly. I felt the weight of the silence around me, except for the sound of my rapid heartbeat. Still with my eyes covered, fear coursed through my veins like poison. The doors opened, and I immediately felt rough hands pulling me out, without any gentleness.“Let me go!” I tried to scream, but my voice came out weak. Mia MillerI think more painful than loving someone and having it go wrong is liking someone and knowing, deep down, that it will never work. This was the suffocating feeling that surrounded me every time I looked at Ethan. He was in all my thoughts, every second of my day. Ethan was the first thought when I woke up, and the last when my head touched the pillow at night. Even though everything in me screamed to stay away, to protect myself from a feeling with no future, I couldn’t. He was a jerk, selfish, and yet, irresistibly a part of me.How did I let this happen? At first, it was supposed to be just one night. A damn night. Nothing more. I went into his arms seeking comfort, trying to escape the pain caused by Collin’s betrayal. But somehow, everything turned into this—a tangle of complicated emotions, a confusion of desires and resentments. Now, I was trapped, connected to him in a way I could never undo.My gaze shifted to Lorenzo, playfully messing with his toys on the floor. T

She was strong; we just needed to refine her skills. As I watched the pack training in the distance, I felt my phone vibrate in the pocket of my jacket. The number was from Nick, always pragmatic and direct. I answered on the second ring, already feeling the weight of concern."Alpha," his voice was graver than usual, "we need to talk. Now. I, however, was far from feeling calm. Ethan had spoken about "training" as if it were simple, but the truth was, I could hardly imagine taking the first step. What did he expect from me?"You'll have to be patient, Mia. The process of transformation doesn't happen overnight. It takes time for your body and mind to accept your nature," he said, as if he could read my thoughts.I crossed my arms, feeling the tension rise in my shoulders. "So, what exactly do you want me to do? Just... transform? Like it’s that easy?"Ethan looked at me seriously, his blue eyes sparkling. "No one said it would be easy.
