Chapter Eighteen: Worship in Restraint

The harsh white lights of the operating room reflected off gleaming steel, sterile and unyielding. But on the table, Sarah was anything but sterile. She was flushed, sweating, trembling, her perfect surgeon’s composure shattered, piece by piece, under his relentless mouth.

Her shoe lay discarded, her sock forgotten. And Liam, crouched like a predator at the foot of the table, had her bare foot cradled in his strong hand.

He licked again, slow and deliberate, dragging his tongue from her heel to her toes.

Sarah’s head thrashed against the thin pillow, her teeth biting into her lower lip until it turned white. Her eyes squeezed shut, lashes damp with the effort of holding in the moan clawing up her throat. Her chest rose and fell in sharp, shallow pants, each one sharper than the last.

Her foot jerked helplessly in his grip, but Liam only chuckled, pressing it firmer into the cradle of his palm. “Relax, Doctor,” he murmured, his breath hot against her sole. “You’re in good hands.”

Then he opened his mouth and sucked her middle toe in, slow, obscene, his tongue swirling over the sensitive pad.

Sarah’s body arched violently against the straps, a muffled cry bursting past her clenched lips. Her eyes flew open, glassy, desperate, her brows furrowed in unbearable pleasure and shame.

“Mmnnnhhh—!” The sound tore out of her, muffled against the meat of her own shoulder where she turned her face, trying to bury the noise.

Her lips parted, trembling as she gasped, her teeth catching her lower lip in a losing battle. Her nostrils flared, her throat working in frantic gulps of air.

Liam smirked around her toe, his tongue flicking mercilessly. Then he let it go with a wet pop, dragging his teeth lightly down her sole. “Beautiful,” he murmured. “Every twitch, every gasp… I can feel it in your foot. Your body can’t lie to me, Sarah.”

Her face twisted, her jaw tight, her eyes glassy with unspilled tears of overwhelmed sensation.

And then he turned to the other foot.

Sarah’s muffled plea came instantly. “N-no… Liam, please—” Her voice broke, raw and strained, muffled by the strain in her throat.

He only grinned, fingers working with slow patience as he tugged off the other shoe. The leather squeaked as it dropped to the floor. Her sock followed, peeled down with unbearable slowness, exposing fresh, trembling skin.

Her toes curled tight in humiliation, trying to hide from him.

“Oh no,” he murmured darkly, prying her toes apart with his fingers. “No hiding from me.”

His tongue slid over the ball of her foot, hot and wet. Sarah’s eyes flew wide, her mouth opening in a silent cry before the sound broke free, muffled and raw. Her cheeks flushed crimson, her jaw trembling as her teeth scraped her lip.

“Ahhhmmphhh—!”

Her panting grew louder, her breaths ragged, her lips swollen from biting back sound.

He licked up her arch, slow, savoring. Then again, harder this time, his tongue pressing deep into the sensitive groove until her entire body quivered against the restraints.

Her head shook back and forth, hair whipping against the pillow, eyes squeezed shut as tears pooled at the corners.

“Liam—ahh—mmhh—” Her muffled moan cracked, breaking in half as he took her big toe into his mouth and sucked hard.

Her eyes flew open wide, her pupils blown, her face the portrait of destruction—lips parted, gasping, cheeks flushed, chin trembling as she tried and failed to suppress another cry. Her chest heaved, breasts straining against her blouse under the OR gown, each rise sharp and shallow.

“Delicious,” Liam rasped, pulling her toe from his mouth with a wet sound. His tongue lashed across her heel, up to her arch again, slow and deliberate, savoring every twitch, every strangled gasp.

Sarah’s lips parted, her panting now desperate. She shook her head wildly, whispering broken fragments of words between muffled moans. “S-stop—ahhh—d-don’t—oh God—”

But her body betrayed her. Her toes spread and curled, her arches flexed, her thighs trembling against the restraints as if every nerve ending had been rewired to burn under his tongue.

He alternated, devouring one foot, then the other, switching from slow, feather-light licks to deep, hard sucks that made her convulse and moan so loudly she had to bury her face into her shoulder to smother it.

Her face was wrecked, flushed, panting, lips trembling, eyes wet and wide, cheeks streaked with tears of sheer overwhelm. Her gasps came ragged, quick, animal, like she couldn’t get enough oxygen under the weight of sensation.

Her voice broke in muffled sobs of pleasure, every sound strangled but still escaping, raw and shameless in its betrayal.

And Liam reveled in it.

“Every sound you choke back…” he whispered, his tongue swirling over her trembling arch, “makes me want to hear you scream louder.”

Sarah’s body jerked again, a muffled, shattered cry tearing out of her throat, her lips shaking as she bit down hard but failed. Her gasps filled the sterile OR, wild and uncontrolled, her body trembling like a live wire under his relentless mouth.

When he finally pulled back, both her feet glistened with wetness, her toes curled helplessly, her chest heaving as she fought for air. Her face was red, damp, broken, her lips parted and quivering as if begging without words.

Liam wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, smirking as he looked up at her.

“You taste like sin, Sarah. And I’m still starving.”

Her eyes widened, her head jerking in disbelief, horror, and undeniable want. Her chest rose in frantic pants, her lips parting in a gasp she couldn’t smother fast enough.

And then he leaned forward, lowering himself between her trembling legs.

Her breath lodged in her throat. The shadows gave way as her eyes adjusted, and suddenly the figure standing just beyond the golden lamplight stepped forward.Liam.But not the Liam she had seen in tailored suits, commanding boardrooms, or stealing whispers on glittering balconies. This was Liam stripped bare of his armor, every inch of him unapologetically male, sculpted to perfection, a dangerous temptation made flesh. Her gaze dragged down his body against her will. Broad shoulders that seemed built to carry empires. A chest carved in hard planes, smooth skin gleaming faintly in the low light. Each ridge of muscle caught her like a trap, defined abs stacked like bricks of sin, narrowing to that impossibly deep V that disappeared beneath the waistband of the only thing he wore.A single, black brief. The fabric clung indecently to him, leaving nothing to the imagination. The outline was so bold, so brazen, she felt heat rise to her cheeks. Her mouth went dry, yet her body pulsed wit

Sarah’s breath caught as she pulled away, her hand trembling against the balcony’s cold railing. What am I doing? she scolded herself, her heart a wild mess of jealousy, longing, and shame. But before she could step back into the light of the gala, the sound of heels clicked sharply against the marble floor. A honeyed, feminine voice cut through the night air.“Liam… I’ve been looking for you.”The woman’s silhouette emerged, sleek gown clinging to her every curve, diamonds glittering under the chandeliers. She didn’t just look at Liam; she devoured him with her eyes. And then she leaned close, far too close and whispered into his ear. Sarah couldn’t hear the words, but the tone alone was enough to tell her. It wasn’t just flirtation. It was a promise. A threat. A hunger.Sarah’s chest constricted, and the fire in her stomach curled into something ugly. Why does it matter? Why should I care? He’s not mine. Yet her eyes burned at the sight, and she hated herself for the twisting, green

Inside, the gala thrummed on, laughter spilling, champagne flowing, women fluttering around Liam Hamilton like moths desperate to singe themselves on his flame. Her hand clenched against her gown. She hated herself. Why am I like this?Jealousy ate at her, sharp and vile. She had no right to feel it, no right to ache over a man who was twenty years her junior, a man surrounded by women who actually belonged in his world. Heiresses with perfect pedigrees. Shareholders’ daughters groomed for dynasties. Not her.But the image wouldn’t leave her. That woman leaning into Liam’s ear, whispering with lips so close she could have licked him. “Liam?”The voice rang out like the strike of a crystal glass, sweet, commanding, feminine. Then came the slow, deliberate click of heels against stone.Sarah’s heart slammed.Panic clutched her lungs as the balcony doors creaked wider, golden light spilling into the night. She wasn’t supposed to be here, hidden away with him like this. Not when a single whisper, a single glimpse, could ruin everything. But Liam didn’t falter. He pressed her firmly back into the shadows, his tall frame cutting her off from sight. His hand tightened at her waist, grounding her even as she trembled. His body became a shield, broad shoulders eclipsing the glow, the heat of him surrounding her until it was hard to remember where she ended and he began.“Stay still,” he whispered, voice low, lips brushing against her temple in the briefest touch. “I’ll protect you.”The words burned into her, soft and merciless all at once. And then, she appeared.A vision in shimmering silver.
