9.Resign from your post if you think we have done injustice to you

"Come and Sit down next to me, Christine. Child, you should have informed me earlier. I have only prepared  three simple dishes for today's dinner.Tell me what do you want for supper tonight. I will prepare it for you."

"Mumma, Don't tire yourself.You have also returned from office after long working hours. I am fine with these dishes.Look, you have already cooked Pomfret Fish fry and Prawns curry for me."

"You have become skinny.You should eat more.Don't be busy with work every day.Look after your health too.How many times have I told you to not neglect your meals."

Christine's mom Chided her.She knows her daughter the best, her daughter is workaholic.She would either skip her meals or will not eat her meals on time.She will even   

buy fast food, ready to eat food to save time. That food is not good for health but her daughter will ignore her advises.That's why her mom would take good care of her whenever she visits home on weekends. Christine's mom kept on serving food to daughter every now and then.

"Mother and Father, I came back today to inform you that I have been selected for On site role and I may need to travel to Country N on next Friday if all goes as per plan.I don't want to go but no one is listening to me.They said I can't refuse this opportunity. I am also helpless. I don't want to give others a chance to criticise me for my decision later. I would like to hear from you both, what do you both think I should do?"

"Christine, Please don't refuse.You need to think about yourself.Are not we fit and fine? Why are you always worrying about us, Child?  It's a great opportunity.My good friend, Mrs.Molly's daughter has recently gone to Country G for work.We are not old fashioned people.We want our daughter to learn new things and become independent."

"Your Mother is right, Christine.We will visit you there in few months once you are settled down at new place.When we are there, we will also take some time to visit few nearby tourists places."

 "I am going to miss you both so much.You have said yourself that you will come and visit me.Don't change your mind later."

"How can that be? We are also going to miss our baby so I promise that we will definitely visit you.Now, tell us what all things that you need for your travel and will prepare them for you."

"Alright.I have prepared a list while coming here. I will hand it over to mom after Dinner."

"Hmm, So you had already decided going there but was merely taking our opinions."

Her Father pretended to be upset.

"Father, That's not the case.If you don't want me to go then I won't go.I had nothing to do during my journey back home so I prepared a list,it would come handy if you both agreed."

Christine became agitated thinking her parents misunderstood her stance on this matter.

"Christine, don't get agitated.I was pulling your leg just now."

They finished their Dinner.Christine helped her mom in clearing up dishes from table, washing dishes.Her mother had prepared fruit pudding in Desserts.They enjoyed it while watching variety show on television.Later, Christine gave her parents the list that she  had prepared.They glanced through list, added few more items to it.Christine put her Passport and other necessary identification documents into her bag. She was very tired so she retired to her room early.

Morning , Christine got up at 6 and quickly finished her morning routine. Her home was in Suburban district so it would take at least 2 hours for her to reach office.Her mother had prepared 2 Boiled eggs, Pancakes and Grilled Sandwich, a Glass of Milk. She quickly finished her breakfast and gave a small peck to her mother. She waved good bye to her father who was gardening in the backyard. 

Christine managed to reach office on time despite heavy traffic on the road. Sandra was already at her desk. When Christine was about to sit down at her work station, Sandra rushed into her Cubicle . 

She whispered into her ear - 

" B***h is early today.She has already been to your cubicle twice. Don't be surprised if she comes here later. 

"Don't worry my fierce Lady. I am more than prepared to face her. I will showcase her true colours to everyone."
