Chapter 4

I stood in front of the elevator contemplating if I should go in or not. I want him, that's a fact, but am I doing the right thing? I really do not know. I thought of calling Sarah to help me out, but I already knew what her response would be, a simple sentence, “Go eat him up, girl.” I was still lost in thought when I heard someone say, while putting their arm on my shoulder,

“I came to get you before you change your mind. I wouldn’t want you spreading rumors that I am bad in bed.” I was shocked, but I did nothing but follow him.

I came all the way here so I should just get it done. The more I get acquainted with someone else, the more I forget totally about Victor.

The moment we entered the room, I sat on the bed looking all terrified. I didn't know what to do next.

“You can go home if you want to. I didn't bring you here to force you,” Adrian said, sipping from a heavy glass of amber liquid. The casual challenge in his voice ignited something reckless inside me. I wasn't thinking; I grabbed the glass from his hand.

“No, that's not wine, Ava, that's uncut—" I downed the sharp, burning spirit before he could finish. The liquor hit me hard and fast.

“Ava, are you okay?” he asked, his focus now intense. I looked at him confused. I mean why wouldn’t I be okay? It was just alcohol, right? Let's get to business.

I sat on his lap, feeling the hard lines of his body tense beneath me. Slowly, deliberately, I rolled my hips, my breath grazing his skin as I looked up into his eyes dark, unreadable, maddeningly calm. He didn’t say a word, but I felt him stir beneath me, a quiet confession his lips refused to make.

A slow smile curved my mouth. My fingers trailed up his chest, sliding around his neck as I leaned closer, tasting the edge of his jaw before whispering against his ear. My tongue traced its curve, teasing, until I caught his lobe gently between my teeth.

And just as the air between us thickened, he stopped me.

“You’re drunk, Ava.”

His voice was low, strained, almost pained.

I pulled back slightly, eyes hazy but steady on his. “Drunk? There’s no way I’m drunk. I know exactly what I’m doing.”

But he sat there, still and silent, his face carved from restraint. If I hadn’t felt the rising proof of his desire pressing against me, I would’ve believed I hadn’t touched him at all.

“Fine,” I said bitterly, climbing off him, the cold air biting my skin where his warmth had been. “You don’t want me. Got it.”

He didn’t stop me. Didn’t move. Just watched, his eyes following every motion as I reached for my clothes.

“I don’t even know why you called me here,” I muttered, turning toward the door.

But before I could take another step, a strong hand gripped my arm and pulled me back hard. The door slammed shut behind me, and suddenly I was caught in the storm of his stare. His eyes had darkened, pupils blown wide, and the heat that rolled off him made it hard to breathe.

“Ava,” he ground out, his voice low and trembling with control, “For the love of heaven, stop trying to tempt me. I didn’t call you here because of this.”

“Then what did you call me for?” I shot back, my chest rising fast. “Because I’ll be honest, Adrian, if you’re not going to have me right here, right now, then we’re done. I didn’t come here to talk. I came here because I want you.”

A curse tore from his lips, raw, desperate, and then he was on me.

His mouth crashed against mine, and everything else disappeared. The world narrowed to the heat of his breath, the roughness of his grip, the wild, hungry rhythm that neither of us could stop. It wasn’t gentle. I wasn't careful. It was reckless, consuming, and long denied.

His fingers slipped under my gown and into my panties. He stopped for a while as if asking if he should continue, but I didn't react. I didn't even know what to say in this situation, but I knew I wanted this. When I said nothing, he continued. His hot fingertips found the slim, wet flesh between my legs, and I let out a whimpering cry.

He stared at me, eyes glowing as if the desire in him threatened to explode. The intensity of his touch increased as he slipped two fingers into me.

“Oh! Oh… God… Adrian,” This was too much for me.

“Now tell me, do you think I was worth only 30 dollars?” he asked while stroking me continuously.

“Adrian, please.”

“Answer me!” he said.

“You are.”

“I am what?”

“You are worth more than that.”

“Good girl,” he said with a smirk.

He pulled out of me, and seconds later my skirt was on the floor. Standing before me, he drinks me in. I watched him take off his clothes and gasped; there was no fat on him; it was just layers and layers of perfectly sculptured muscles. My gaze wandered from his broad shoulders to his full chest, to his narrow washboard abs sitting above the sexy V of his shape. He was perfect.

“You are enjoying your view. I like it when my girl savors her meal before eating,” he chuckled, but I just swallowed.

His erection was tenting his black boxers. I swallowed hard as I took in the size of him. How did I take this size on our first night together? I asked myself.

He reached his hand behind my back and took off my bra while he dragged his other up to my abdomen. I moan, and he smiles. My bra is on the floor and with a hungry, feral gleam in his eyes, he drinks me in.

With my upper body exposed, he takes my nipple in his mouth and swirls his tongue around it. I release a long, drawn-out sigh. Holy…even his tongue has a hint of vibration to it, and it’s driving me so high.

He kisses my abdomen.

“Your skin smells so good, Ava. You are so soft.”

I am at the edge, about to fully lose myself to him, bliss fogging my mind. He dips his tongue into my navel before moving towards the apex between my legs.

He tapped on my knee, and I spread my legs open for him without shame. Maybe the alcohol was getting to me, but I felt no shame at all.

As the tip of his tongue came in contact with my clitoris, he shoved two fingers inside me, and in an instant, I felt my pleasure detonate around us. The release was so violent I lost my senses and cried out.

I stare up at the ceiling with a blank expression; if I go on like this, I will pass out.

“I am going to take you in now,” he scoots off the bed and removes his boxers.

Seeing him naked, my inside throbs with need at the thought of having him inside me. He climbs back on the mattress between my legs and spreads my thighs apart with his knees. Hovering over me, he slowly guides his thick, long cock into me.

I whimper, accommodating his length. He pulls back and eases into me again slowly, his gaze studying mine. It was almost as though he was in love with me; that wasn't a gaze you give a random person.

“You feel so good,” I cry, the overwhelming pleasure bringing tears to my eyes. I never want to leave his bed. “Ah, God… Again.”

He pulls out farther this time and shoves into me a little faster, with more force and pauses.

“Please don't stop,” I can already feel a second climax building up.

“Faster,” I breathe, desperate for him, “Please. More.” Following my cries, he thrust in, deeper, harder and faster. I cried out, enjoying every beat of it.

“Yes,” he growls, continuing to pound into me. Every thrust brings me higher yet.

“Ava!” His eyes are glowing with need, and he loses control, his face twisting in the fierce sprint towards his release. He quivers as the climax detonates through him.

“Ava!” he yells again. Still thrusting, his expression softens with an unexpected vulnerability. He slows, easing his weight and pulling me close against his chest. We collapsed onto the pillows, heartbeats racing in unison, enjoying each other’s warmth as the lingering physical tension finally gave way to exhaustion. Not long after, darkness took over.

The sound of my phone ringing violently shattered the silence and brought me back to reality. Groaning, I picked up the call and heard Sarah’s panicked voice on the other end of the phone.

“Ava! What did you do to Adrian Blackwell? You were given a notice to hand over your work and leave the office in three days!” she screamed, almost crying.

The words fired, three days slammed into me harder than alcohol. I sat bolt upright, the blanket pooling around my waist as the news finally registered: I was losing my job. My mind raced, trying to find Adrian, trying to make sense of the devastating chaos. I turned to question him, but his side of the bed was already empty, the sheets cool where he had been, almost like he hadn't been there in the first place.

I stared at Adrian, still trying to figure him out. My brain refused to process anything. My room… but not my house. My bed… but not my street. My posters… but definitely not my peeling ceiling. It felt like stepping into a parallel universe sponsored by a billionaire with too much money and absolutely zero boundaries.I slowly turned back to Adrian. He looked annoyingly calm, like people reconstructed entire bedrooms from memory every day.“Mr Blackwell, we are not close enough for me to invite you into my room, right? So how do you know what my room looks like?”If I’m being honest, the whole situation was terrifying. He just stared at me. No explanation. No blink. Nothing.“So,” I tried again, “let me get this straight. You… recreated my entire room. In your house.”“Yes,” he answered like he was reading a weather update. “You got hurt on our way, so I made this one identical. I didn’t want you panicking when you woke up.”“You said I was fine back then.”“I lied.”“You LIED about

Darkness wasn’t silent. It buzzed. It echoed. It felt like someone had stuffed my head with cotton and set the world on mute. My ears rang, my vision flickered somewhere between shadows and half-formed shapes, and my body refused to keep up with whatever chaos was happening around me.I tried to breathe.Nothing happened. Then suddenlyAir.Sharp, cold air filled my lungs like I’d forgotten how to inhale.Something warm pressed against my cheek.“Ava. Ava, open your eyes.”That voice again.Low. Controlled. Breaking at the edges.Adrian.My eyes fluttered, vision blurry, and all I saw at first was movement, trees shaking, the night sky spinning, and Adrian kneeling beside me.Not angry. Not furious. Not intense.Something worse. He looked… afraid.“Are you okay?” he demanded, too fast, too rough, like fear had wrapped itself around his throat.I didn’t answer because my brain was still trying to reconnect its wires.“What… happened?” I croaked.“You fainted,” he said and I felt his mu

Chapter 13Ava's PovRolling across the ground, dust filling my nose and mouth, I felt strangely… alive.I don't even know what to think, after I heard Adrian say we were going back to New York. My head kept screaming “Let's run away” like it’s lost some screws. The screams were so loud that I had to jump out.I saw the car pull to a halt and then start moving towards me at full speed. I stood up, not bothering to catch my breath and started running. It's not that I didn’t want to go back to my life, I just got scared. I wasn’t running from New York. I was running from the version of myself that would melt the second Adrian looked at me again. And since Adrian already told me that he had no idea who fired me… Hold on, I know that non-human trash Victor had a hand in this, but why did I forget to ask Adrian? Instead I went ahead to kiss him like a starved wolf. Anyways in my defense, I thought it was a dream. Who am I even kidding…“Ava, don't hurt yourself any further, just stop and

Adrian's povI honestly can't remember the last time I felt such heavy blood thirst. I was so angry that I could tear down all the board of directors in the company. No one had the right to touch Ava but me!No one had the right to make her cry but me!No one had the right to look at her but me!No wonder it felt like I was always struggling with Ava instead of getting closer to her.I had no plans for emotions. When I opened my eyes, everything felt wrong. The air was too still. The light was too dim.And the silence… the silence felt watched.A sharp ache throbbed behind my skull as I pushed myself upright. My hands trembled. My breath hitched. This wasn’t my room.It wasn’t anywhere I recognized. Then it hit meI was captured last night. Captured because I was running from Adrian. It’s always Adrian’s fault. From the moment I met him, my life has been one dramatic episode after another. The music stopped.Or maybe it didn’t.Maybe the sound just vanished from my world the moment I saw Adrian’s face.He wasn’t supposed to be here. Not in this place, not in this mess, and definitely not standing between me and Victor with that expression, cold, furious, and something else I couldn’t name.“Brother-in-law?” The word echoed again, slicing through the silence that had suddenly swallowed the club. My knees weakened.“I am only going to say this once, DO NOT APPROACH AVA AGAIN! the next time won't be so lovely.” Adrian said to Victor, his voice low, dangerous, the kind of calm that came before a storm.Victor laughed. “Oh, come on, brother. You can’t treat me this way, at least not in front of these many people.”I stood there for a while, unable to process anything. The only thought that was in my mind was that, Adrain and Victor were family. They both wanted me to fall. “Ava is mine, ” Adrian said, The words came out rough, possessive, like a claim stamped into the air.
