LOGINEVELYN’S POVThe next couple of days felt like a breeze, I stayed away from Elroy and best part, it was now over, which meant, it was now evaluation period and time for normal classes.“Good morning class” I said calmly and they all answered in unison, as it was all week, Tiffany and Elroy couldn’t care any less with their giggling and hand cuddling.“It’s evaluation week, so take your textbooks and works really seriously” I said, flipping the pages of the book in front of me “I’m convinced everyone has sent in their projects” I raised a brow, there was a low grumble amongst them.“I’ll just have to check in on your works” I said loudly when I noticed someone’s arm in the air. “Yes Laurentis” I lifted my eyes to see a snarky smirk on the corner of his lips.“I wanted to pass out an invitation to my celebration” he started, I tried as hard to avoid his eyes by staring at the words on the page “And you’re invited too professor” he added. The class was in uproar, rowdy and inattentive “S
EVELYN’S POVThe moment I had made it out and into the dorms, my heart raced faster as I tried not to think about what I had been getting myself into.“Why do you always go back?!” I murmured to myself the moment the door closed behind me. If I truly wanted someone, I could be with Ryder and there would be nothing wrong about it but now, my body is so attached to him.I steadied my breathing with my palm to my chest before heading to the bathroom for a nice hot shower and a time to rest.“Hey Anya” I said the moment I picked up the phone. It felt like we hadn’t spoken for ages “How’s it going?” I asked with forced enthusiasm, I couldn’t let her know that something was brewing and worse, that Elroy isn’t a one time thing.“Well, I’ve got news for you” she chimed happily, that was new. I loved hearing cheerfulness from her tone, it was great hearing her happy once again. After the whole Melvin fiasco, I was worried she’d be moody and avoid me, yet, she had been supportive every time.“O

ELROY’S POVShe paced back and forth as I told her everything “So she knows about Melvin” she stated, running her fingers through her hair “Ho..how?” She asked, I didn’t respond because I wasn’t able to find the truth.“Can you calm down?” I placed my hands on her shoulders “I promise I’ll get the answers from her” she looked up at me with eyes which said ‘how on earth would you do that?’ “I have a plan in place” I sighed“Then what about this” she waved an envelope in my face “What’s this for? I mean, it’s from Melvin but how did you know what it was?” “That’s because Tiffany had an identical one just like that” I revealed, thinking back to her apartment when she tried all sorts of tricks to get her lips on mine “How does she have one of those?” I muttered under my breath.“It..it’s impossible, they couldn’t have” she looked up at me, her brows arched to display perplexity “No, no, no..” she panicked.“Get yourself together Evelyn” I said calmly yet loud enough for her to hear me
ELROY’S POVOnly her chest heaving next to mine was enough but I’m one greedy man, I need it all, her smile, her breaths, her scent, yet, I couldn’t just catch a break with Laurentis and Ryder trying to talk to her at every chance they got and now Tiffany just had to be close by.“Hey Tiff” I said, making my way towards her after Evelyn had made her way out of the lakeside “What’s up?”“Don’t ask me that? Where have you been and why aren’t you helping us out?” She folded her arms and pouted furiously “I can’t stand Laurentis, if you’re leaving, at least take me with you” she reached for my arm.“Not now Tiffany” I pulled away, casting a nasty glare her way “Could you try to keep your hands to yourself?” I asked and she took my arm by force.“And risk exposing miss Reeds past?” She let a sly smirk form on the corner of her lips “Never” her voice always sounded lie deciet and fake sympathy.I turned to look around at the scarcely visited lake area “Why do you keep using that as blackmai
EVELYN’S POVI took deep breaths to steady myself “Hey Evie” Ryder smiled with a bottle of orange juice in his hands “Juice?” He asked calmly.“Yeah” I answered with an awkward smile and having the cap open “So..how’s it going with the students so far?” I asked before gulping down a large amount of juice into my system.“Well..they’re actually a handful but not so bad, there are some nice ones and some well…”“Not so nice ones” I chipped in, completing his sentence and we both erupted in laughter. It had been a while I had someone with the same experience and age, it made me smile, it felt so refreshing. And so when the pairing had begun, everyone went in a group of three, just as their evaluation project entailed.“You all will be working hand in glove to make this” I stretched my hands towards the vast land “A better environment, using your skills, ideas and long form teamwork” I announced.Almost immediately, work was being done and whilst I helped them out, I felt a sense of fulfi
ELROY'S POVI watched her face when my father said it."We have a situation with our daughter Chloe."She didn't react. Just sat there with the glass of water in both hands, eyes steady. Most people shifted when my father spoke like that. That tone, measured and certain, the tone that meant a decis
