CHAPTER 37: Clara in NYC

BRENDA'S POV

I walked in the company of several business partners and board members, out of my company's conference hall. We'd just concluded a meeting and the board members had stated their concerns over the absence of the CEO, my younger brother, Carlo. I had to cover up for him with the excuse that he went on a business trip to New York City_which is partially true.

I'm worried about him, greatly worried. He's so stubborn, always have been. When he has set his mind to do something, he makes sure he achieves it no matter what anyone says, no matter the obstacles he might encounter.

Although we were away from each other several years ago, I still watched over him from afar. Mom and Dad left him in my care. He's my only brother and sibling and he's my greatest responsibility.

Carlo is sick. He's crazy as well. Because of his love for just this one woman, he's ready to sacrifice himself at anytime.
