I would really appreciate an answer from the both of you, because I know you father he said you don't just call someone to your office 

“Father,” he said, voice tight. “What really brought you here today? You held a meeting with the team without even discussing it with me first. And what is Sophia doing in your office?”

Victor looked up from behind his desk, his expression cold and unyielding. Sophia sat across from him, composed and quiet.

Victor leaned back in his chair. “I came because I heard we’re at risk of losing the Global Dynamics contract to some nobody startup. I wanted to make sure the message was clear. We do not lose to dying companies. It’s a shame on the Harrison name.”

Adrian stepped further into the room, closing the door behind him. “And you needed Sophia here for that? You bypassed me completely.”

Victor’s eyes narrowed. “I see you’ve been less than capable or steady these past weeks, Adrian. Someone has to step in and fix things. This is not the man I raised you to be. Distracted. Weak. Letting personal matters affect the company.”

Adrian’s jaw clenched. “Personal matters? Evelyn left. That’s not a distraction

“It is a distraction,” Victor cut in sharply. “You should be focused on the company. On winning this contract. Instead, you’re letting some woman’s departure cloud your judgment. Sophia has been reliable. She understands what needs to be done. That’s why she’s here.”

Sophia remained silent, but her eyes flicked briefly to Adrian with a small, satisfied glint.

Adrian turned to her. “And you? You’re advising my father now behind my back?”

Sophia spoke calmly. “I only want what’s best for the company, Adrian. Your father asked for my input. I gave it honestly.”

Victor waved a hand. “Enough. This is not a debate. Make sure we get this contract, Adrian. Do whatever it takes. Use every resource. Crush that Silverline before they become a real problem. I won’t tolerate another loss like Meridian.”

Adrian stood straighter, frustration boiling under his skin. “I’m handling it. I don’t need you stepping in like I’m some incompetent child.”

“You are acting like one,” Victor replied coldly. “Pull yourself together Focus business is what matters. Legacy. Not whatever emotional mess you’ve created with Evelyn. She’s gone. Move on.”

Adrian’s hands curled into fists at his sides. “This is still my company to run and has anyone ever please you,well I'm not surprised mother gave you everything she had,her love, strength and time including herself but what did you do obviously nothing,now you are here acting like a super man,like I'm not capable of running this company,I repeat this is my company to run I don't need you father he said with an angry voice 

Victor’s voice dropped, low and final. “Then run it properly. Or I will. Now, you can excuse my office.”

The words landed like a slap. Adrian stared at his father for a long moment, the silence thick and heavy. Sophia watched quietly, saying nothing.

Adrian turned on his heel and left the office without another word, the door closing firmly behind him.

Victor waited until the footsteps faded down the hall before turning back to Sophia.

“Good,” he said. “Keep an eye on him. Make sure he stays focused. And continue with the plan for Silverline. We cannot afford surprises.”

Sophia nodded, a small smile curving her lips. “Of course. I’ll handle it.”

Victor leaned back, satisfied. “Good. The Harrison name will not be embarrassed by some upstart company. Not while I'm still breathing.
