Chapter 048

I sat on the couch in my office with a worried expression, my fingers tapping nervously on my phone at a speed I never knew I had.

The scene with Keith ordering me out of his office twice today played in my head on repeat until I slammed my palms on the table, along with my innocent phone.

How dare he do that? I swear I will get him back for that but who the heck was that woman for whom he ordered me out the second time?

I stepped out of my office, feeling unsettled as I thought to check if those men and that woman had left yet.

Keith has got some explaining to do.

From the corner of my eyes, I caught sight of Sarah once again. There was this weird, awkward moment we had each time she accidentally looked my way and tried to pretend she didn't.

I walked up to her desk, something I wanted to do earlier if not for Keith who blocked me.

"What's up with you?" I asked her.

"Sorry, but I'm busy right now," Sarah replied with her eyes fixed on the monitor in front of her.

"Really?" I turned o
