34- A Kiss

She was shifting Sophie’s clothes to the cupboard when she heard the familiar ping of the elevator. She could hear Sophie’s elated voice inside.

Emerald came out of the bedroom and saw Rafael walking out of the elevator, holding Sophie on his shoulder. Her hands and legs were spread straight ahead and she was laughing like crazy.

“Mommy. Daddy make me a superwoman.” Rafael was running zig-zag carrying her with him in the living room. There was no fakeness on his face. He was enjoying the time with her.

Placing her down, he handed over a goody bag to her. The instant she got it, she emptied it on the plush carpet that very minute.

It was a good collection of play dough.

“Aunt Abigail bought it for me.” She at once got busy with it.
