The atmosphere in the room was stiff. Zeke sat at the center of the room, hands hovering over the documents laid out before him.

The paper read - Reassignment of Duties. His fingers went up between his eyes to pinch the skin between his eyes. His eyes were downcast as he felt his wolf getting restless.

“Be still,” He grunted but another aggressive push replied him. “For the pack, Zeke. Just for the pack,” He mumbled before picking up a pen laying useless at another end of the table.

Lucas pushed the door to Zeke's chambers open. The night breeze floated inside for a split second before he slammed it shut. His hands found the light switch at the wall and turned it on. The light flooded the sitting room but Zeke was nowhere to be found. “Where's this dude?” He muttered and dropped the files on the table. It's been a week since Darius arrived and it was becoming difficult for them to meet alone, so they had agreed to work on something tonight but where's Zeke. The sounds coming from the bedroom became clearer as Lucas walked around the sitting room. Strained groans. Lucas hurried over there. Pushing the door open and turning on the light switch, he found Zeke in bed, cuddling himself with a big blanket thrown over him, clearly shivering from under the blanket. “Zeke,” he whispered, already hurrying towards him. When Zeke heard his name, he opened his eyes slowly with a groan, proving just how difficult the task was for him.“Fuck,” Lucas cursed when he placed hi

That day went by in a blur, Ivy deliberately skipped dinner so she wouldn't see Darius. He had sent someone to bring her over for royal dinner but she had made a lame excuse to avoid it. Her head still banged with the fact that she had recklessly given away too much. And she didn't know how. She was going to find out anyway. She stalled behind in the clinic all day till they were about to close for the day and that was when she left. The door closed shut against her and she heaved a sigh of relief. First day, done. She didn't know how long she would be able to avoid him but she was sure to try for as long as she can. Pushing her body off the wooden door, she strutted farther into the house. She had dinner with the pups but yet, her stomach complained in hunger so she headed towards the kitchen for a late night snack. It was time for bed, the note -Do not trust easily - still sat pasted at the wall in which she had placed it when she left. She didn't get a clue about who sent it. S

Ivy woke up the next morning to chants of Darius taking over the pack. Everyone whispered his name in reverence. The pack settings changed. Flowers decorated the gate of the pack house like a new Alpha was being welcomed. Ribbons floated in all corners of the pack house. Fresh, watering food was being rolled out from the kitchen into the royal dinning room. Only dignitaries wined and dined there. Ivy shrugged and continued walking, but not with her eyes not catching the huge boards of his pictures that had been set up all over the pack. Stoneheart went too far. That was all she could think of. Really really far. Well, she would see this man soon enough and know if he was worth everything. Darius. Zeke's Uncle. It didn't sound right to her. She didn't want to see him. Not like she have seen him before. Probably have not but his name and the efforts put in place for the decorations were so much and off the bar. His name leaving a bad taste in her mouth and an horrible feeling in the

The morning met Ivy already in the clinic, helping, adjusting, instructing. The pups woke up to meet her already there. Their faces lit up immediately and they all rushed towards her, calling her The Luna Lady. Her face grew stiff when she heard them but she wore a huge smile and attended to each and everyone of them. The doctors and staffs were relieved to see her. They went into work immediately, attending to the pups who were already showing a great improvement by her return. Her presence seemed to calm them down. When Kena woke up, her lips were already drawn into a smile. On seeing Ivy walking around, the smile grew wider. “Luna Lady,” She yelled and jumped off her bed, her tiny feet carrying her towards Ivy. Ivy bent down and picked her up. “I told you to stop calling me that,” She said but the little pup only giggled and replied with a “But you're the Luna,” Ivy decided against arguing with her and dropped her on the floor before leading her away for her medication. At bre

That was the question running through his mind. Did he really needed to do that. “Mate,” He heard the low growl coming from the depths of his chest. “I said stay still,” Zeke grumbled and he felt inner peace but only for a moment before his wolf moved again. “You know what I need and depriving me of it wouldn't make any much difference, you need it also,” Leer, Zeke's wolf mumbled. “You do know that's impossible right? And I

The pack cafeteria was crowded at this time of the day but Ivy knew just where to find her, and immediately she stepped her feet into the cafeteria, she caught sight of her. Tessa had only just recently dyed her hair purple, claiming it sat well with her. The hair stood out in the midst of the normal black and auburn haired werewolves. “Tessa,” Ivy yelled. Eyes snapped towards her and she could hear Tessa groaning through the pack's mind link. Tessa swiped her head towards her, approaching with a tray of food. “Gurl,” She grinned as she drawled the syllable. “It's been damn long I saw you and you're still the same, drawing attention anyway you step into,” She said, dropping the tray on the table before settling into the seat opposite Ivy. “Well, I can't help it, can I?” Ivy forced a hollow chuckle as she grabbed a handful of fries. “What's wrong, Ivy?” Tessa asked, raising her eyebrow. “A lot of things,” Ivy breathed out and Tessa's face went grave serious. “I've been reassigned

The stench that hit Zeke when he walked him almost made him gag over. “What's this?” He asked baffled. The pack doctor walked over to him, a grave expression on his face. “Alpha” He gave a small bow. “Explain this to me,” Zeke demanded. “It's….” He heaved a sigh “Howling rot” He said, his voic

“Zeke” The door of the office swung open and Lucas stepped in, a bounce on his gait. “What?” Zeke narrowed his eyes. “I have both good news and bad news” Lucas said, the smile on his face faltering. “Good news first” “Ivy is healing the pups! The pups are healing! I don't know how she's doing i

“Luna,” Ivy wiped her head towards the group of pups seated by the corner of the pack clinic. “Kiddies,” She chuckled, retracing her steps back to them. “Luna,” The youngest shrieked and threw herself into Ivy. “Now, what are you up to?” She planted a kiss on her head and sat by them. “Ivy,” Sh
