Lucas pushed the door to Zeke's chambers open. The night breeze floated inside for a split second before he slammed it shut. His hands found the light switch at the wall and turned it on. The light flooded the sitting room but Zeke was nowhere to be found. “Where's this dude?” He muttered and dropped the files on the table. That day went by in a blur, Ivy deliberately skipped dinner so she wouldn't see Darius. He had sent someone to bring her over for royal dinner but she had made a lame excuse to avoid it. Ivy woke up the next morning to chants of Darius taking over the pack. Everyone whispered his name in reverence. The pack settings changed. The morning met Ivy already in the clinic, helping, adjusting, instructing. The pups woke up to meet her already there.
