“Where do you want to go?” I asked. There was a gazebo just down the path.

“No idea. Just want a moment of quiet.”

“This way.” I said, pulled her arm towards the right. We walked hand in hand till the gazebo came into view. Mom had put lights around it thinking someone might use it. She was right.

“That is beautiful.” Ivory said, smiling widely.

“Yes, you are.” Pulling her up, we sat down on the bench. The gazebo sat on a small hill that overlooked where the mating ceremony will take place.

“I was talking about the view…” Ivory rolled her eyes at me.

“I was talking about my view.” Her head rested on my shoulder as we just watching the darkness for awhile.
