Chapter 116

Author: Bodhi Blossom
"You're nothing like Sienna."

"Sienna is so much better than you."

"Natalie, you must apologize to Sienna."

Such were the remarks Victor would occasionally make since Natalie turned 18 years old. To date, the worst thing he'd done that she could remember was pinning her on the ground and forcing her to apologize to Sienna, all because Sienna had lost her bracelet and accused Natalie of stealing it.

Victor hadn't even tried to get to the bottom of the incident before siding with Sienna and defending her.

Natalie's heart still tightened as she recalled the past. She frowned and looked up at Victor with a chilling, humorless smile. "Yes, I'm nothing like Sienna. I'm not as cunning or ruthless as she is. It's insulting that you'd even compare me to her."

Victor clenched his fist so tightly that he could have crushed the thermal flask he was holding. He glowered at Natalie viciously. "Say that again, Natalie."

Natalie sneered, "Oh, getting worked up already? I've always known you wer

Bella planted her hands on her hips and laughed at Xavier's delusional statement. "Don't worry. That won't happen! Natalie's too smart to make the same mistake."A stormy look clouded Xavier's face while Natalie sputtered. The former was about the retort when he saw David leading a horse toward them. "David's here! Don't worry, Natalie. I'll put in a good word for you!"With that, Xavier hurried over to David.Bella was rendered speechless by Xavier's eagerness to impress. She drawled mockingly, "It's not like we asked him for a favor."Natalie was a lot more composed. "Ignore him."When the two ladies approached David, Xavier was still in the middle of exchanging pleasantries with him. He'd introduced himself to David, but the latter was still baffled. "I'm sorry. I'm afraid I don't remember you."Xavier blinked awkwardly. When he caught Natalie and Bella holding back their laughter, he began to blush. "We met at the finance symposium about half a year ago, Mr. Earhart. But wi

The racecourse was several dozen miles out of the city, and the sun was blazing when Bella and Natalie arrived. After parking the car, Natalie and Bella were led to the premium racecourse by one of the staffers. Only the best equestrians could race in that course. The sun was high in the sky, and a faint breeze cooled the otherwise stifling weather. Bella surveyed the course but did not see David anywhere. "Natalie, I'll give David a call.""Okay," Natalie said.Bella found a quiet corner to make the call while Natalie stayed behind and waited. Just then, she spotted a familiar figure—Xavier. She frowned as she turned away instinctively, but Xavier saw her anyway. She heard him call out across the distance, "Natalie!"Before she knew it, he was already making his way toward her and asking enthusiastically, "I didn't think I'd run into you here, Natalie! Did you choose this racecourse on purpose?"Xavier was a passionate equestrian and had taught Natalie everything she knew about

Sienna let out a breath and said solemnly, "Victor, the truth is, Natalie is the child Dad had with Susan…"Ten minutes later, Victor stood in place, his mind blank.A while later, Sienna followed up with, "Susan seduced Dad and gave birth to Natalie. She even swapped me and Sienna at birth! And now, Natalie's always trying to one-up me and go against me in everything I do."My reputation is ruined, and Xavier is constantly hounding me about the divorce. I don't understand how Natalie and Susan could be so cruel, Victor."Tears welled up in Sienna's eyes as she continued miserably, "I don't know how I can keep going on like this, Victor. And I feel terrible for Mom. What if Susan and Natalie are after Spencer Group and want to claim it for themselves? What will we do then?"Victor looked grave, his brows drawn together as he pulled Sienna into his arms and comforted her, "Don't worry, Sienna. I'm here. I'll never let anyone hurt you or Mom."…Meanwhile, Natalie had already arri

Natalie lifted her gaze to Susan's face. The swirl of emotions in her began to ebb when she saw the latter's heartfelt grin. Easing into the atmosphere, Natalie said, "Okay."It was Saturday, and Natalie did not go to Wayfarer. However, she'd already made plans for the day. Now that she'd won the bid for Dejah Port, she'd need to come up with the money for the project in three days and sign the contract.Natalie had already reached out to the president of Grendale Bank, Otis Cromwell, and set a time to meet with him. As such, she put on a tailored dress with a houndstooth pattern and headed out after breakfast. She'd agreed to meet Otis at a cafe and arrived a half hour earlier than the agreed time. However, Otis did not show up on time. Natalie waited for another ten minutes before a bad feeling came over her. She picked up her phone and called Otis, who did not answer until several rings later."Mr. Cromwell, what coffee would you like? I'll have them brew it for you," Natalie s

Following a passionate round with Jane in the sheets, Jason padded out of the bathroom with droplets of water still glistening on his sculpted chest. He cut a cold, vicious look at the woman in his bed, all the tenderness gone from his eyes.Jane, however, was different. Her body was soft, limp, and weightless from the lovemaking as she lay in bed. She stared at Jason with half-lidded eyes and murmured, "Let's go to sleep, Mr. Pereira…"Jason didn't even want to look at her now that he'd released all his pent-up frustration. His brows furrowed, and his handsome face hardened as he said, "You can go now."Jane froze, then played coy with him. "It's already so late, Mr. Pereira. I don't want to go home alone. What if I run into another creep? I'm scared."Patience had never been Jason's strong suit. A frosty gleam shone in his eyes. "Did you really think you could fool me with your pathetic excuse? I only let you stay because I needed a good release. I'm done with you now, so you can
