Before Natalie could finish, the anxious Landon immediately cut her off, "I'll be there in ten minutes."

With that, he hung up the call before she could say more.

Natalie wasted no time grabbing her ID and bag before heading out. Landon was just as quick and pulled up at her door moments after she arrived.

He hurriedly helped her into the car, and the second they arrived at the hospital, he began shouting, "Help! I've got a patient here!"

Doubled over in pain, Natalie still managed to cut him off, "Landon… obstetrics."

"Obstetrics? Oh, sure…" Then, as if a thought struck him, his head whipped toward her, and his widened eyes fixed on her stomach. "You mean…"

Overwhelmed with shock and joy, Landon didn't bother to consider if grabbing her was deemed improper. He was barely thinking when he swept her into his arms and sprinted to the obstetrics ward.
