Chapter 57 (Epilogue)

The whole sky was filled with colors, blue, orange, and pink as Cali sat on a chair in her balcony with a mug of chocolate smoothie in her hands, watching the beautiful sunset. She smiled with her eyes closed, feeling the serene touch of slow wind.

It had been three days since she came back to her country, and a whole week since that incident happened. It was still difficult for her to think about what Horace did to her. She thought of him as her best friend once. But looked like he was harbouring an unhealthy obsession for her all the while. If he loved her like he claimed he did, he would not have done all of that to her, kidnapping her and attempting to rape her. She was still in a trauma for days as she could not believe that that person who did all that to her, was Horace.

That day, Cain and her father came to her rescue right on time. Horace was handed over to the police but before that he got beaten by Cain. He punched him until he became all bloodied with a broken nose and ja
