It was almost midnight and everywhere was covered with darkness with no light except the shine coming from the moon and an old street light at the far end of the alley which was flickering like that in a horror movie. And in the alley, was walking a woman, dressed sophisticatedly. But something was wrong. Her appearance looked disheveled and she had covered herself with a black shawl as she walked down the alley, no, nearly ran down the alley, like she was running for her life from someone. But she was careful all the way as she was not alone. She was carrying a soft blanket in which laid a baby who was sound asleep. Soon, she reached such a place that she had prayed all the way to find. An orphanage. That was it. It was the place where she could leave her baby. Her baby girl, whom she had to keep safe at any cost. She had promised her husband that she would keep her safe, even if she had to die for it. She looked at her sleeping baby.
