Chapter 101

Dan’s POV

Not being able to sleep, I decided to go for a walk. I laid in bed for a few hours until 3 am but I couldn’t stare at the ceiling any more. I start out of the building with my mug and my hoodie, enjoying the crisp cool air. I figured the time alone might help me think straight… maybe?

“What are you doing up so early?”... the voice from the bench came out of nowhere, sending my mug flying. Well so much for coffee. I hear the old familiar cackle of the one and only Lee. “Grandpa, you scared the shit out of me”. He picks up the shards of my mug. I liked that mug.

“Danny, my boy. In all the years I’ve known you… I haven’t once been able to scare you. What’s eating you son? And why on Selene’s green planet are you up this early?”.
