I was standing, waiting for Becca. I had my two best men next to me, and my mum was sitting in the front row crying, along with Becca’s mum. I could see my father rolling his eyes and trying not to laugh. I wouldn’t expect anything else from either of them. I was nervous, but too much, probably because we were already married. Though my heart was still pounding and my palms still sweating.
I hear the music begin, turning my attention to where my gorgeous wife would be soon enough. The bridesmaids came down first, soon joining my best men and me. And then there she was her dad next to her. She looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress. It was enough to bring a tear to my eye.
“Wow!” I breathe out.
My heart started working overtime. Becca smiled widely at me as she and her dad walked down the aisle. She was soon in front of me. She kissed her dad’s cheek, hugging h
Hello everyone, I apologise for the delay in updates. Life has been busy. I think this will be the last chapter. An epilogue will follow, hopefully, tomorrow. I have enjoyed writing these two, but it is time to say goodbye to them. I will be adding new books, eventually, too. Thanks Emma
*** Three years later *** Rebecca I got woken up with someone bouncing on the bed, a sweet giggle filling the room. “Mummy, wake up,” Everly shouts. I couldn’t believe that she was two already. I don’t know where the time has gone. “Mummy is sleeping,” I laugh. “Everly, I told you not to bother your mummy,” I hear Jake chuckle. I turn around to face Everly, and she stops jumping and comes to lay down next to me. I checked the time. It was close to nine a.m. Everly usually wakes up about six a.m., so I am assuming this morning she decided it was her daddy she was wakening up, rather than me. “It is alright,” I said, smiling up at Jake. He comes over, laying at the other side of Everly. I loved our time as a family in the morning. All snuggled up in mine and Jake’
RebeccaI was dancing with my girls in the club. It was a typical Saturday night for us. You only live once; you may as well make the most of it. We had a lot of attention on us, but we never bothered with it. We were not here for attention or too hook-up, we were here to dance, drink and have fun. I think we have all had enough of men and their bullshit to last us all a lifetime. I am not saying all men are assholes, I know they aren’t, but our group seems to have bad luck with guys. We made a pact a few months ago to stay away from men for a little while.
JakeI was enjoying my time with Rebecca. It was good to see her. We had been sitting at the bar for the last half an hour, drinking and catching up. I was trying to my best not to get distracted too much, with her gorgeous long, tanned legs on the show. Or the way her purple dress clung to her beautiful curves. I shouldn’t be thinking these things about another woman. I had a girlfriend.
RebeccaEveryone was getting along excellent, for a group of people who only met an hour ago it was going well like we have known each other for years—the conversation involving talking nonsense to talking about sex.“We should probably stop the sex talk, Jake hasn&rsqu
JakeI couldn’t get the kiss that Rebecca and I shared outside. It was over an hour ago, yet I could still feel her lips on mine. I should never have kissed her, but I couldn’t help myself. She just looked gorgeous, more than what she usually does, more than I can remember. I don’t know if it was the hair or because I haven’t seen her in so long. Whatever it was, it is something that I have wanted to do for a long time.
Rebecca“Wanna head back to mine for a party? The night is still young,” Josh said. The club was closing soon, but we were all having too much fun to end the night right now. I was having too much fun teasing Jake. I wanted him badly. I was taking my time because there
JakeWe were all in Josh’s bar, and luckily it was big enough for us all. His house was huge, and the bar was too! The drinks were flowing, the music was blaring, and everyone was getting along swimmingly. My eyes were on Becca as she talked and messed around with her friends. She must have felt my eyes on her because she turned to face me, smirking. I smirked back, motioning her to come to me. Becca whispered something to her friends, and then came over to me.
Rebecca“I think it is time that we leave,” I whispered to Jake, kissing his neck.“Yes, good idea,” He groaned, “I will book a cab,” He added, grabbing his phone.
