I got woken up with someone bouncing on the bed, a sweet giggle filling the room.

“Mummy, wake up,” Everly shouts.

I couldn’t believe that she was two already. I don’t know where the time has gone.

“Mummy is sleeping,” I laugh.

“Everly, I told you not to bother your mummy,” I hear Jake chuckle.

I turn around to face Everly, and she stops jumping and comes to lay down next to me. I checked the time. It was close to nine a.m. Everly usually wakes up about six a.m., so I am assuming this morning she decided it was her daddy she was wakening up, rather than me.

“It is alright,” I said, smiling up at Jake.
