Chapter eighteen

HAZEL

I smiled to myself as I walked to Henry's office, he must have been eager to see me, judging from the text messages and call.

I noticed him on the way to his office and I called out to him but he didn't hear me. Something seemed to be bothering him because he was frowning at his phone. He held the device up to his ear and my phone rang, again. He was happy to see me.

I smiled and increased my pace but stopped when an older man approached him. They talked for a while and as they spoke, Henry's expression went from being calm to being angry in a split second.

I got closer to hear what they were discussing that made him so furious. I heard the man say Melanie, and marriage and it caught my attention.

The man yelled at Henry and the words that came out of his mouth made me stop in my tracks. "What?" I said before I was able to stop myself.
