Chapter twenty two

HAZEL

"Hey Hazel, not to bother you or anything but I just wanted to let you know that your dad is in the hospital."

"What?!"

"My dad took him to the hospital two days ago."

"Two days ago?!"

"Yeah. He said not to say anything to you but I just thought I should."

"Thank you so much for telling me."

"Yeah, no problem."

"I'll come over tomorrow."

"Okay. See you soon."

I hung up and rushed to Naomi. I told her the news, and she said she wanted to go with me. "I don't think it'll be necessary. I just wanted to tell you."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. When I get there, I'll call you and give you the feedback."

I went back to my room and gathered a few of my things.

When I got to dad's place, Piper was there. "Oh hi, you're here early."

"Yeah, I left early so I could get here on time. What are you.....?" I was confused as to why she was at my dad's place.

"Oh uh, I wanted to pick up something for your dad."

"Something?,"

"Yes." She didn't say anymore and I wanted to let
