Chapter twenty one

Rage coursed through my veins as I drove home. Melanie didn't visit the station, she said she had important business to attend to and she would be free the next day so Hazel had to sleep at the station.

I tried everything I could do to get her out but Scott said they had to follow protocol. He promised he would take care of her and it made me a little rest assured.

I couldn't sleep throughout the night and Hazel couldn't either, and we spent the night chatting. Thankfully she was okay, it really annoyed me the more I thought of it.

I was about to head out when someone rang the doorbell. "Who is it?"

"Melanie."

I can't believe she had the guts to visit my place after what she had done. I opened the door and she stood there, dressed almost half naked. "What do you want?"

She smiled and wanted to hug me but I pushed her away. "What do you want?" She frowned at me for a moment before she finally spoke.

"Why are you being hostile honey?"

Honey?," This girl was really something. "I do
