Owing Love

Melody I woke up from the sound of birds chirping near my window. I smiled and thanked the universe for granting me another day to live. I signed and got up from the bed and immediately excruciating pain shot through my spine. This bed is too hard to be comfortable but I need to be grateful for everything. At least I have a bed to sleep on. I went to the kitchen to make breakfast for me and my foster parents. I ate and went to my room to get ready. I have a pretty decent room you can say. It's just that the bed is a little too uncomfortable and the paint of the wall is chipping off. But it's alright, it's nothing major. I have a beautiful balcony though. I love to sit there and write poems. Anyways I got ready to go to school. It's a five minute walk from where I live. So I don't have to hurry. I threw on a hoodie and sweatpants and I'm ready to go. I tied a high ponytail as always and got my backpack, knocked on my parents door and left the house. I reached school right on time

MelodyHe was staring at me! I was blushing so hard and I couldn't stop it from happening. I served him espresso then went to the kitchen. Why am I feeling this way? I need to focus on my job, I can't lose my focus. I need to earn so I can go to college. Next year, I'm going to turn 18 and my foster parents are going to kick me out for sure. I need to secure my future before I get distracted by things like this. I went back and continued to wipe the tables.Another customer walked in and I turned to greet them but my eyes fell on the people who came in. Steven and his group came in. What is he doing here? Did he find out I was working here and came here on purpose so he could bully me out of school as well?They sat in the middle of the cafe and on my table. I can't even see Aliya anywhere. Where did this girl go when I needed her!?I felt two gazes burning through my soul. And I knew for sure one of them was Steven's. I turned around to look at the other one but the seat was empty.
