Prologue

What is wrong with you!?" I told him, frustrated.

"What is wrong with me!? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" He screamed at me.

"What the heck are you even saying, Tristan?" I said with tears in my eyes.

"Oh stop with your crocodile tears already. I know what you did! You cheated on me!"

"Cheated on you? How did I cheat on you!? When did I do that!?"

"Well you did it. And here are the proofs." He threw a stack of pictures at me.

I looked at them with wide eyes. These pictures were taken yesterday. But the angle makes it so wrong. We were just talking but it looked like we were kissing.

"Cat got your tongue?" He asked me tauntingly.

" This is not what it lo-"

"Shut up and get out, you gold digger." He said, cutting me off.

"Are you just going to give up on us like this?" I asked him with betrayal in my voice.

"What's 'us'? There's no us anymore. It's just ' You And I ' now."

"Tristan, please think this through. Think about all these years we spent together. For the sake of those times, please think through it."

" COULDN'T YOU!? COULDN'T YOU THINK OF ALL THESE YEARS WE SPENT TOGETHER BEFORE YOU WENT AND CHEATED ON ME LIKE A SLUT!" He yelled at me with so much pain and anger. I couldn't take it. It was too much for me.

"Please Tristan, hear me out-"

"Go pack your bags. My lawyer will contact you shortly."

"Are you for real!?" I asked seriously this time.

"Certainly I am. I can't live with a cheater."

"As you please." I said and left to pack my things up.

If he doesn't want this any longer, then I won't stay either. He gave up on us so fast as if all these years full of joy and love wasn't anything for him. He didn't even give me a chance to explain.

I packed all my stuff. 'My' stuff. I didn't pack anything he bought for me. If he thinks I'm a gold digger, then so be it. And I'm not taking anything from him either. He can have his wealth all to himself.

I was done packing up and went downstairs. I wish he cooled down so maybe we can talk this through. He's not in his right state of mind and he must be hurting so that he's not thinking straight. Yeah it must be that. I can fix it. Oh goodness let me fix it, please don't be so cruel to me.

I walked into the living room but the scene in front of me broke my heart completely. Tristan had a girl strangling on his lap as he groped her while they kissed.

I'm such a fool to believe that I could fix it. And I'm such a fool to forget that once Tristan sets his mind, he does exactly that.

I'm such a fool.
