Sienna’s POV

I stir awake in bed, last night’s image flashing through my mind. We kissed last night… it reminded me how much I missed his touch, how much I was still longing for him.

“Good morning, Mummy…” Chris’s voice came softly as he walked in. Exactly the person I wanted to see. I needed to talk to him about his dad.

“Come here, baby,” I said, patting the bed. He climbed up, and I kissed his forehead.

“Did you sleep well?”

“Yes, Mum…” he nodded, those grey eyes of his always reminding me of his father.

“Baby, there’s something I want you to know. Daddy is not at fault—he never left you guys. I had to take you away for our own good. You’re still young, so you may not understand much yet, but I don’t want you being cold toward Daddy, okay? He loves you.” I kissed his cheek, and he nodded—my sweet boy.
