"Don't ever think that you're going anywhere Roman." She spat. "If I thought that you were going to leave me, I would never have forgiven myself. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I let you go."Roman raised an eyebrow and stared at her questioningly."So why do you want me to stay? Did you finally decide that you don't care about me anymore? Have you forgotten your promise to give yourself to me?" He asked with furrowed eyebrows."Of course not! Don't think for a second that I've forgotten about what I promised you. I just need a little bit more time."Roman stared at her blankly for a moment before he rolled his eyes."Are you serious, Celine? When you asked me to take you away from here and never let you see your family again, I said yes because I knew exactly what you were talking about. Now you've gone and done exactly what you said you were going to do."He shook his head and sighed loudly before glancing back up at her."I understand that you need time Celine. I truly d
"No. You have to eat some of this." He said softly. His eyes were gentle. Almost sympathetic. But his expression remained stoic. There was no warmth in his gaze. No kindness. Just pure emotionless determination. That's when she noticed how much he looked alike her late father. The way his jawline was sharp and square and his piercing green eyes burned into yours. The way he held himself. Even the way he spoke. If not for his appearance alone, she might not have known that he was related to her. With a sigh, she dropped her hand back down onto her lap and started to pick at the food on her plate. Suddenly, something else caught her eye on her plate and she glanced up curiously. She frowned slightly as she picked up the small glass bottle that was lying next to the plate. Her eyes widened slightly. Was that what she thought it was? Before she could stop herself, she brought the object close to her face and inhaled deeply."What is that?" Roman questioned as he tilted his head slightl
So, after agreeing that it would probably be better if he accompanied her, he reluctantly followed her outside the house to the gardens where she usually liked to play. He stood behind her as she ran through the flowers, giggling joyously as she skipped and jumped around the grass. His eyes flitted around curiously, observing everything around him. It was very different to the gardens he was familiar with in Rome. For one thing, there weren't many trees here. Instead, there was just a small hill in the middle of the gardens. And there wasn't much to see either. There was the occasional flower bed with various flowers blooming everywhere. Then there was a huge pond at the other side of the garden that Celine loved to wade into when she felt particularly lonely. She always tried to convince Roman to join her, but he refused everytime. He hated water."Do you think we will get to go somewhere fun today?" She asked curiously, glancing over her shoulder at him."Maybe." He answered sof
"My King...please...just talk to me. Please don't make me do this alone." She whispered desperately."I won't." Roman promised. Her heart stopped beating when she saw that the door to the greenhouse had already swung open. Roman stepped into the greenhouse. Celine followed reluctantly, squeezing his hands tighter. She felt like she was going to faint the second she entered the greenhouse. The room was filled with dozens of beautiful plants and plants that were growing in pots all over the room. It was a beautiful sight to look at. Celine felt a lump form in her throat as she continued to stare at the room in awe."Roman? What's this place?" She asked, trying to distract herself from the fact that she was practically trapped inside of a greenhouse."It's called a greenhouse. Or, at least, that's what it originally was." He replied as he walked through the room.He stopped in the centre of the greenhouse and spun around so that he was facing her. He gestured for her to come closer. She
"Nope. You're not going to get that information until tomorrow morning. For starters, I don't plan on explaining everything to you tonight. I want you to enjoy your visit with me first." He said."But?""No buts." Roman cut her off. "If you truly want my explanation, then we shall wait until tomorrow morning."Celine sighed in annoyance."Fine. As long as you give me a good reason as to why we shouldn't start making love right now."Roman laughed lightly."Goodnight Celine." He whispered softly.Celine bit her bottom lip as she watched him turn away and leave her there in the middle of the path in the garden."Goodnight Roman." She whispered.Celine awoke the following morning to the sound of birds chirping outside of the window. She stretched slowly and yawned loudly. Then she glanced at the clock in her bedroom to see how long she had slept. It read 6:30am. She rubbed her eyes tiredly and sat up in bed. The memories of last night started flooding back into her mind. She remembered
"Hi." She responded with a small nod, her voice shaky."Are you hungry Celine? We still have some food leftover. Would you like to eat with us?" Asked Estelle kindly.Celine looked down at the ground. She wanted to say yes, but the truth was that her stomach was hurting so badly that she probably couldn't stomach anything."No thank you Mrs Estelle." She mumbled softly. "I think I'd better go home now." She added."It's ok Celine." Said the blonde gently.Celine forced a smile as a tear trickled down her cheek."Have a safe journey home." She said softly as she walked away.Celine walked out of Estelle Gardens slowly, trying to prevent the tears from falling from her eyes. When she finally reached her home, she went straight to her room and locked herself inside. She didn't bother changing or brushing her hair. Instead, she pulled her knees close to her chest and hugged them tightly, burying her face between them as tears streamed freely from her eyes. She didn't care if she would
"I'm saying that you shouldn't blame yourself for loving someone." He repeated. "Because if you do, you will eventually regret not having a chance with them. Love makes people do crazy things. And if you let your emotions control you, you will lose the most precious thing in your life." Roman leaned forward slightly, closing the gap between them. His warm lips gently grazed against hers. Celine couldn't help but gulp nervously. He tilted his head slightly and moved his face closer to hers, causing the two of them to inhale deeply. A tingling sensation coursed through her entire body as she closed her eyes shut and held her breath. However, just before their lips connected, she felt herself tense up suddenly and pushed Roman away harshly. Her eyes shot open as she stared at him in disbelief."What the hell are you doing?!" She shouted angrily."What? I thought?" Roman stammered, his face filled with shock."That I liked you?! How could you think that? Who do you take me for! I don'
She turned her attention back to the garden, ignoring the fact that Roman was still seated beside her. However, after a few minutes of silence, she felt him move behind her and press his body against hers. She sighed silently in frustration. She knew that he wasn't going to leave her alone until she acknowledged what he had done.Without turning around, Celine spoke."Roman. What did I say yesterday about touching me?" She stated in annoyance."I don't understand." He mumbled."Why won't you just leave me alone? You've been acting weird ever since I got home from school. Do you know how exhausting it is to be constantly bombarded with questions? Do you know how much trouble I am having? Please Roman, just leave me alone." She groaned. She didn't bother to turn around and looked up at him. To her surprise, she saw that he was crying. Tears rolled off of his cheeks as he sniffled."Roman?" She called out in concern. "Are you alright? Did I say something wrong?" She questioned, placing
